Also interesting start with this new girl Mayoi, I would imagine helping her MIGHT help Araragi with the situation with his sisters but we'll see

Now that I finally caught up with your reaction, I will say that you might have understood now, that yeah, the monogatari series is a "heavy conversation" show, a lot of dialogue and what seem non sensical during the episode, but with seed planted in it that will bloom later when the mystery is unraveled. That what the whole show is and that why it's great, they were able to make a show where little happen during an episode, almost dialogue only, but it isn't boring and I think the way the show is realised and the succession of cut that you mentioned, is a reason why it doen't feel boring. Also yeah, the voice acting is top notch, some VA well known now, I heard them for the first time in this show, since I'm watching anime with more attention since around 2005, so Bakemonogatari was just around the corner at that time. Like for exemple, Oshino Meme is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai, the voice behind Geto (from JJK) or Reigen (Mob Psycho 100). Fun fact btw, Takahiro Sakurai voiced Kishibe Rohan in the anime of Jojo's bizarre adventure, but for the game on ps3 that came before the adaptation of part 4 even happen, Rohan was voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya, the VA of Araragi, who is also the voice of Levi (AoT) and young AfO from MHA.

Just subbed to the patreon and caught up with your reactions, just wanted to say that if you are using MTBB subs going forward I would prefer you used the honorific version that was used for about half of this reaction as sometimes the japanese honorifics are kinda important/sound better than their translations.

Of note, in case you care, but the "Mental Health Issues" line is the most accurate translation of the line where you switched subtitles since the JP uses "Menhera" (Mental Healther).
