Ardan needs some wit training if she hasn't figured out that Oguri asking extra food is just Oguri.

I like how they're building dicta and muteki in the background. It's obvious they matter in this story, and I love their journey almost as much as our main cast.

Fun fact the real test for the license (either for trainer or jockey) is notoriously difficult considering for either this year or in 2022 no one passed

damn im late! anyway, yeeee the National Equinine Training License is very hard to get and even before any Testing or Test applications you need to clear some specifications of your Person that even most of us wouldnt clear such as, not having 2 or more misdemeanors (traffic tickets excluded, thank god) and ANY sort of Relation with anyone that the National Racing Asscociation of the Country deems "unsavory" or has any record of: race-fixing or any other effort to pre-determine the outcome of a race bookmaking touting pool-selling bet solicitation or any other similar misconducts having any provable or "token" stakes in Racing Profits also count to that (like owning, co-owning or having any stakes in a betting buisness) you dont even need to take part of it, just knowing them close-ish can be enough for them to deny you, and once you get denied by any major Circuit, you will most likely get denied by any other as well (so moving to Japan, and trying there after you get denied in the US or Europe would be a waste of time) in most National Circuits, you also need a sort of Patron who recommends you. around 3 years as an Assistant Trainer or Regional Trainer is also a typical requirement (can vary from Nation to Nation) and all that comes before you the actual Knowledge you have to bring, Learn and then Prove like Equinine Physiology and Psychology (yes, Horse Psyche is a big part of training) Medical Knowledge to a basic treatment level (typical equinine sicknesses etc) Physical and Psychological Risk assesment and prevention each also specilized for all stages of a Horses Life, from Foals to Later year Stallions to a degree (dependiing on the Circuit) a buisness management course can also be necessary the list goes on in terms of Umamusume you could say that you need to be a holder of a Teaching License a Sport Physio entry permit probably a Psycholigical certification (like, a mandatory course taken or something) wouldnt *count* on it, but the fact that we deal with Teenagers in a High Stakes, High Stress enviroment could necessitate it (we do kinda play mental coach for our Umas in game) certification for Sports management could also play a role ie. THATS A LOT OF SHIT YOU NEED TO KNOW! AND PROVE! (and typicaly Testers of stuff of this calibre are not the forgiving kind) if just put into IRL perspective, there would be a shit load more Uma Athletes then Trainers i belive thats also sort-of pointed towards in the game sometimes we do know that Umas cant join graded Races without a Trainer

6:25, keep in mind, this follows real life. Real life is not always forgiving and Oguri doesn't have MC plot armor. I haven't looked into Oguri's career either, but I wouldn't be surprised if she loses again. 6:49 I also got 2nd in Group A finals with Oguri. Though despite her having a 40% winrate and Triple S aptitudes on Turf, Mile, and Late, she didn't pop any of her skills on time and finished 8th or 9th. Taiki Shuttle secured me 2nd place.
