With what you saw of the show now, you know already that the girls that Araragi saved are characters that you might saw again later, so saying that your reaction to Nadeko's futur apparition are waited, is an understaitement. She is an... interesting character, I will not say more.

Regarding your reaction to the list of oddities after the OP, it isn't a spoiler to say that "demon" and "vampire" are interchangeable in this series. Among the many things introduced in the first episode, Araragi refers to Shinobu as "the husk of a vampire" and "the dregs of a beautiful demon." Also, I'm glad to see that your copies have the commentaries. Monogatari is one of the most rewatchable series I've ever seen. Once you watch it all the way through, it's rewarding (though time-consuming) to watch it again to see all the details laid out in advance. After that, watching with the commentaries adds a completely new layer of enjoyment (provided that you like all the dialogue between characters, that is).

Fortunately, for Nisemonogatari onwards, you don't need to worry about the previews spoiling visuals anymore, they're perfectly safe to watch and are essentially just end skits with cute drawings. For bake going back at the end sounds like the best idea though yeah lol
