1 hour 20 minutes? we eating good. "that time she closed her eyes and tried to kiss" me was in episode 9, around 14 minutes in.

I think its time to rceommend MPV instead of VLC. VLC is great but it bugs out a lot when pausing/unpausing and moving frames. MPV is more robust and has a frame-by-frame hotkey that doesn't just make the subs completely fall apart

I thought the same about Sengoku and her arc being probably my least favourite on Bake, but having finished all Monogatari she became my favourite character

so i don't think hanakawa told the charm lie to araragi to not bc she believed it but she wanted araragi to believe it. So she could take him away from senjo... but she felt guilty about it. also its so amazing watching the show for the umpteenth time bc you notice things or other people make points you didn't see. there is sooooo much in this show

You're right that the landscape in Monogatari is an (exaggerated) reflection of the character's POV/state of mind, though a fun fact of this episode is that the place where Hanekawa Black confronted Araragi is based on an actual location in Odaiba which looks pretty dramatic too! Relatedly, the IRL shots in the Staple Stable opening of Hitagi Crab was also shot at locations in the vicinity of Shaft Studio near Iogi Station

I will NOT recommend you to pause and analyze that scene when Shinobu was summoned and kicking BLack Hanekawa, that crazy rotate/spin frame-by-frame, I definitely WONT😁 haha! Please ignore this whether you know what I am suggesting or not..
