I immediately bought the light novels for this series after this episode 1. I am hooked. For why Kinko’s body looked small after she tried to kill herself, Yuki carried her and had Kinko sitting on a chair. I’m assuming that’s why she looked smaller than everyone else. This show is done by the director (Souta Ueno) who also did Days with My Stepsister which also had artistic creativity visually. First episode out of 11. This is competing with Sentenced to Be a Hero for best new anime this season for me.

I love the direction of this show, it makes everything so much more expressive. Like the scene where they all try to grab the key was incredibly done. My theory regarding the split personality/heterochromia is that she lost her right eye during a game and her brain was injured. The staff could put the eye back even if it lost its color, but the brain could not be repaired.

my theory is that it's a way to cope with what she does during these games. she can't handle some of the bad things she's done during them so she broke into a split personality so as to not have to deal with those feelings

yeah, no way she is sane after doing stuff like that 28 times. also your theory about the 'personalities' being different in the game and out of the game makes sense, Yuki was talking in the past in the hexagonal room. we heard it during the scene, but perhaps it was part of her 'praying' ritual after the game

the director is from Days With My Stepsister, it was like he didnt have any more money to continue with that anime and still for whatever the title sound like a meme it was actually quite interesting. Now with this tittle as you can see he has more budget we'll see how he use it.

37:50 this part was also really hard for me to understand the first time but the yellow hair girl actually cuts her hand to be able to get to the key faster. There's just 1 second of her bringing the keys to her hand. Also the first time that the keys were put in the middle those 2 were not able to reach for it, that's why the next time she tries to reach it, looks like she went all the way to the middle
