Man, along with the everything else, the story telling in this is something else, like that first part. Stay warm down there! lol

27:30 They mentioned that demons are capable of suppressing their mana for a sneak attack (that's actually how lugner suck up on fern and stark last season), they just don't comprehend doing it long-term (for all the reasons you described).

Himmel and our hero from the south must be having great adventures in the afterlife

I also liked the second part, the demon constantly lying and deceiving until the end. First lying then try to make them sympathize, I need human to eat, then logical reasoning, why not eat human. So good.

Also since they view mana as a sign of status they usually don't do so around mages since they like to flex.

About the demon and Fern or Frieren not reacting at first, the demon present itself as a priest, priest have mana too (Heiter said that Frieren have less than him when they first met but aknowledge that she is suppressing her mana later and surely was the one teaching it to Fern), so in my opinion, it's pretty logic that they're not taken aback by the demon mana with this explanation.

He didn’t just take out the demon that could see the future, Frieren said he also killed 3 of the 7 sages in that fight. Truly fucking INSANE.
