Definitely a downtick in animation quality and this episode felt a little rushed but I'm still having a good time

I think the outsource theory is a good guess. I do hope its not an all season thing. Id hate for such a fun adaptation to have an asterisk next to it

The chief animation director and character designer is very active in Twitter and got pulled into my algorithm and he said this is the first EP he didn’t do any cuts on personally besides a quick flash screen So i think they are obviously prioritizing some over others but as a romcom its not super dependent on animation as much so as long as the interactions stay fun and the VA performances are strong i think this level is still fine overall with higher quality single eps sprinkled in

yeah it is rushed they didn't adapt almost 14 pages of dialogue

My impression is that right now Ijichi is already interested in him and actively pursuing him, while Amane is more excited about the anime and is developing feelings without realizing. Ijichi is definitely in a more advanced phase in her feelings and more open about them.
