DAMN, was not expecting that, but I guess it makes sense, realistically speaking hanging out with someone for what is it at this point, almost 2 mouths? It’s more than enough time to develop feelings, and if the person is not stupidly oblivious to their own feelings they realize pretty quickly. I hate when characters are openly flirtatious for a whole year but still can’t admit their feelings because they can’t pick up that the other feels the same way. This is way more realistic: Umi has been flirting for a while, Maki was flirting back, she realized it and she confessed. Way more real than a lot of other romcoms.
