Also I thought about it after, when I was questioning where things would go if the Empire defeated the Republic. And in theory, it's a world war, that SOMEWHAT follows real life, they showed us in episode 7 that the U.S. exists in some form in this world. So we may end up seeing them as an "enemy" in this series. Just a thought I didn't verbalize in the actual reaction
