Well, we just got confirmation that every adult in the village is in on it, and that not only they sent assassins after Asa, but they tried to assassinate Yuru multiple times too.

Also, I’ve been thinking for a while, the mere existence of the village is kinda evil in and out of itself: every time in history that the twins are born a massive war erupts, and the village is purposefully creating the twins (we saw in episode 1 granny Yamaha delaying Asa’s birth so that she would be born in the day) and apparently they have been trying to create the twins to obtain the power to conquer the world. Honestly I agree with the Kagemori’s head: the village shouldn’t exist. Even if their goal wasn’t world domination, purposefully creating the twins is just power hungry and insanely dangerous, and countless people die every time. The village is basically responsible for every major war in Japans history.

Yeah killing the adults and sending kids to a orphanage overseen by the Kagemori clan seems like the best option. This way innocent kids don't get caught in the crossfire and can live out their lives without re-bulilding the Twin system. Its still cruel but better than keeping the world conquest cult alive.

I don't necessarily think it confirms that EVERY adult is on it. But some of them absolutely are. Just this one grouping of adults talking about what has gone down doesn't lend itself to the idea that every single adult is in on what's going on.

I mean, all the kids get vaccinated, meaning all the parents ask the Tadera clan to bring vaccines, meaning they all know about the outside world and technology. In episode 1 it was the little girls mom who asked Dera to bring the vaccine for her daughter, and in this episode we see the mother of Yuru’s friend witness the shaman injecting the vaccine, and this random villagers talking about break and seal. If all this ramdos know it’s safe to assume that everyone knows.
