It is tragicomic how the Empire's biggest problem is being extremely efficient in war, not only to make the rest of the world ally against it out of fear, but also to convince its own inhabitants that they are practically invincible, and that giving in to the enemy would be wasting that opportunity to gain more.

The Empires higher ups just keep getting more confident they can win the war the more they win in the important skirmishes. But its mostly just because of luck. It was luck that destroyed the enemy HQ where Tanya was at cause they only randomly found it and it was luck that got Tanyas Division through the enemy lines undetected. The generals and the politicians dont know the horrors and suspense and exhasution the soldiers on the ground have to go through everyday and how much its affecting their morale. They only see the victories and believe it will naturally continue winning because they believe they are just naturally superior to their enemies for they have already won so much why shouldnt they continue winning
