W episode, I’m sure Vordins motives will be made more clear next week or the following since Zavthier alluded to it in this episode The “millennium of loss” she’s referring to im assuming is the time in which the True Hero was active and killing all of the dark beasts along with Clevatess and Rathwell’s predecessors. Vordin saw that power first hand so maybe he’s using the Book of Toah to create another True Hero to do to Humanity what the True Hero did to them all those years ago. They did say in the first ep of S3 that Crest Magic is the “closest Magic to that of Toah” so my theory is Toah was the name of the True Hero
