Some info for you that is fine for you to be told, and some of it is never even really stated properly. People are welcome to correct me on some stuff if I’m wrong. It's been about 2 years since the end of S1, Thorfinn is currently 19 years old and Einar is 21. Einar is from Northern england. prior to the time frame the show is set in, the Vikings actually had control over a lot northern England and especially Scotland for quite a long time, and even co-existed somewhat with England. This area was called "Danelaw". for the most part the Danes and English people that lived there co-existed, and they did plenty of boinking. so by the time of this show, there are plenty of villages of mixed blood and mixed people in that area, Einar's village was one of them. Eventually one of the kings of England hated the Danes and made it his mission to get rid of them. So that's why the king of England attacked Einar's village. and of course years later the Danes also attacked a 2nd time and stuff. So yeah, Einar is likely a mix of Danish and English blood, and also knows both languages. Hence why he can talk to everyone.

This season is a treat, they brought in real actors for voice acting. It really sells the realism of the characters for me
