Just might be my favorite episode of the series so far.

Sorry for rambling so much lol, I kind of lost track of how long I had been recording and talking for towards the end.

I love your analysis of the characters of the show, hopefully you love the rest of the show as much as you have so far.

I think you understood the speech at the end pretty well, to summarise again: Hikigaya had expectations of Yukino. Now that he finds out those expectations don't hold true he is disappointed in her, and he hates himself for this because even though he knows he is the one who chose to have those expectations of her, he still can't help but be disappointed in her. It'd be one thing for him to be disappointed that his expectations weren't met, the problem for him is moreso that he transfers the disappointment in those expectations not being met on to Yukino herself which he hates himself for.

Yeah that’s kind of what I was going for I just couldn’t find the correct words in the moment, he hates himself for putting those expectations in the first place as having them there could only lead to disappointment when in the end they weren’t met. And even though he doesn’t want to he finds himself placing that disappointment on her, even though he was the one who set the expectations in his mind in the first place. Which is unfair of him, which of course leads him to say he hates himself for that. Such damn good writing. All in that one speech Hikigaya felt more real to me than a vast majority of anime characters out there.
