The 2nd shooter of the 3 I've recently posted about and oh boy, filmmaking overload in this one! You have been warned. I was inspired and had the time of my little life. Classic give away is the speed at which one speaks and the length of my post watches after each trailer.

I still feel like a cold caller to this franchise even though I saw the All Operators video. I think this is why I enjoyed what I was watching more. Very modern movie making here which I go over but if you like the channel for filmmaking, I think you'll like this one. I go over various areas of lighting, camera movement plus very briefly over the different genres and shooting styles that comes with it. Again... I was inspired!!

It's nice to sometimes let the inner filmmaker in me want to just geek out and for any budding student wanting to grow, I hope you find the information useful.

Reaction only viewers, maybe skip a few minutes after each trailer plays.

Enjoy!

Kai

I would recommend Silent hill 2 as something to look at. The story is amazing and it recently got a remake

There's a few with and without gameplay

IGN has a full cinematic movie video

What you mentioned around 21:30 is exactly why a lot of fans were pretty confused with this whole change. It all started as these secret, classified high-tec soldiers that were meant to stay in the shadows...to being in a crazy colosseum-esque stage. Definitely fun to watch but ruined the "lore" I'd say for a lot of fans at the time.

Ah, Deimos. On one hand, harry brought quite a bit of character to the table, but it was at the cost of the vibe of the entire thing. Thank you, Deimos, for righting wrongs

So the stadium shorts were to build up hype for the Siege Invitational, their annual international event. It was also the first live event Siege had since lockdowns, and had a $3m prize pool. Lore wise, operators are all counterterrorism units, and the PvP matches are training exercises for when they go out into the world.

noooooo they changed the music for the Sisters in Arms trailer at 29:40, the music is one of the best parts of it, you gotta rewatch it properly, even without reaction https://youtu.be/1-utBXsiOG0 It's one of the greatest cgi trailers Ubisoft ever released and this cut absolutely ruined it lmao

Kiran

I wish it included a couple of the animated and shorter cgi ones, especially the Nighthaven introduction, the two animated pre-second tournament trailers, and the Squad Teasers. They have lots of character introductions (incl. Sam Fisher and the sniper lady) and establish relations which escalate/resolve in these bigger cgi ones. There are bunch of short one cinematics and animations later on that were left out that also have a lot of extra backstory and lore for Deimos and the ongoing situation. Unfortunately there is no campaign in the game at the moment. There used to be a few short missions about fighting the White Masks mentioned in the first cinematic. But it really was just multiplayer content against lots of bots in a PvE setting.

Ali

Actually funny I was just thinking earlier today , I wish Kai watched the cinematic trailers and not just the operator showcases like you did, and what do I see when I check Patreon? Let’s just say I had a big smile

Love to see you geek out on the cinematography. For a recommendation for a short film with a pretty considerable story, I would take a look at the "Marathon | Reveal Cinematic Short." It's about 9 minutes long and is an entertaining watch. I don't know how the game will do but Bungie is behind it which is both good and bad I think.

PogMaster

React to Marathons cinematic trailer

If it still interests you, I hope you check out Apex Legends: Stories From The Outlands. I think it would be a great watch.

I've had quite a few people asking for it now so I'm thinking it must be good. I'll do a cheeky recording tomorrow for you!
