I'm still in Japan until tomorrow but if possible could you watch one that deals with the side quests and DLC? The DLC was really good and it was around this time that Sony exclusives really made side content as good as the main content. You'll miss a really touching and sad moment if you miss the scene with Jin and his old maid.

Good choice. I went out and bought a 4k OLED TV because of this game when it came out. One of, if not the best looking games of all time

I checked the GLP all cutscenes video and i think it is ok, he is playing in easy which makes some boss fights look underwhelming but that is no big problem, it lacks cutscenes for the side stories of the main side characters which add depth to the world but i couldnt find a video that has everything so i would say to stick to gamer little playground' s longest video of this game

Please watch the version with japanese speaking and english subtitles, the english speaking version really takes you out

Just a heads up Kai: I think it’s GLP version that the last 2-3 hours is the “Iki Island DLC”. It’s still in chronological order and the DLC is best used as the end of Jin’s story. Just wanted to let you know.

Honestly, I personally liked the english version better. Better lipsyncing and I could relate to the expressed emotions more in english than japanese.

Agreed, on the english part. Japanese is great, no mistake, but I played it in both (even german, my native language, but, yeah, not good ^^), and english is better throughout the whole game imo

Doesn't the Iki Island DLC even take place after the main story anyway?

Well, I requested an AC7 reaction back in February. Isn't AC5 but I think because it is the most recent one AC7 is the best suited for complete new people who have no idea about the lore to get into the series. But idk when Kai will get to it. "Eventually", I guess was the last he said.

I also prefer the English voice acting, personally. I feel the voice actors did such an amazing job bringing the characters to life.

Definitely the Director's Cut as it is beautiful, 4K, 60 FPS, and includes the Story DLC Iki Island

AC7 is a bit confusing story wise. Gameplay is better but he won't be playing. AC5 has a better story in my view

Director's Cut will either be the PS5 version or the PC version and the fidelity is significantly higher on those platforms.

Yea, you could play/watch it in any order. A lot of Iki Island’s dialogue and storyline is written under the pretense of having finished the vanilla game.

Hey there, I recommend checking this one out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdndCdE8B3Q&ab_channel=AndyGilleand The gameplay portions of it have been cropped to match the cutscenes, so the whole video is in the same aspect ratio, It includes the whole base game, but the Iki Island DLC would have to be a separate video, but this one is a great "Game Movie" version IMO.

I'd also like to add that after sifting through some of the other videos, the person playing the games on this channel is actually competent!
