Another brilliant video, Kai! A couple things: 1) Yup, Kill the Justice League was a pile of ass, both in narrative and gameplay. 2) We definitely need some "Aww Mate" merch, one of my favourite catchphrases of yours. I know something is really good when that one pops out. 3) Outside of this and the Batman games, one of the other better superhero games is Guardians of the Galaxy, from 2021. It's a phenomenal game, and a real surprising one too, as the developers were the guys that made the Avengers game, which was a pile of crap. 4) As for a movie suggestion, if you haven't seen it, The Batman (2022) is sublime. Very much suits your love of all things dark and gritty, and the cinematographer was the same guy who's done the Dune movies, so there's shit tons of scenes you'll be nerding out over!

Definitely continue the Batman Arkham series ASAP! They are the gold standard for Superhero games and clear the Spiderman games by a mile. Spiderman is great but the Arkham series just hits different, especially Asylum witch is the best one in my opinion.

Absolutely. The Avengers game, plus the trailers for the game, did not set it up in a good place. But hoowee did they knock it out of the part. My hot take is that, I genuinely think, as characters, the Guardians in the game are better than the Guardians in the movies

I would definitely second the Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, made me emotional a couple of times. If you want to see true carnage I'd recommend the [Prototype] games (the PC versions). Saints Row IV is kind of a super hero game 🙃, but might be too zany and over the top (I put the upside down smiley there for a reason), also too far away from where Saints Row started. Some of the Beenox Spider-Man games are interesting too, not as flashy as Insomniac's installments. However, in fact, the Shattered Dimensions 2010 game by Beenox directly inspired the SpiderVerse. Maybe web of shadows 2008 by Shaba Games could be interesting too.

I had fun with both and problems with both, spider man and batman that is. From a raw technology standpoint Arkham Knight is my favorite. Arkham Asylum has a certain something, look and feel I cannot deny though. The Arkham Asylum and City "return to collection" is a bit of a let down in my eyes. I'd recommend the PC versions with the GPUnity mods (sharper textures, up scaled cut-scenes, custom launcher with new graphics options etc. ) He is also working on some visual Arkham Knight renovations but in a smaller scale compared to Asylum and City.

When the big baddies are revealed and the music is hitting just right in that scene, oh man was it epic. Side note, I do think it would be nice if you paused sometimes when a particular thought comes up that you want to articulate. I get that everyone has their own style and maybe more people would dislike the constant pausing but I feel like you have to rush through your thoughts sometimes. Anyway, loving the series, now onto the brutal last episode for me!
