Hi guys!

First off, a huge thank you to each and every one of you for being part of this community. Creating content and sharing my journey with you has been such an incredible experience, and it’s because of you that we’ve hit this unbelievable milestone—100K subscribers! Absolutely wild.

Reaching 100K has always been a personal dream of mine, and now that we’re here... I guess it’s time to set a new goal.

I’d also love to do a Q&A to celebrate (about time)—so drop your questions below! Ask me literally anything. I like to think I can handle whatever you throw at me 😂💪🏻.

This video will come out when a certain something has arrived from YouTube. Something else I'd like to share with you. It's because of you that we're here so absolutely, you must be there when I unbox it.

When are you getting that silver play button!? Awesome milestone man

Zoozee

Ooooh man this is so great🤩 Congrats Kai; you're f-ing awesome💪🎉

Grant Peters

Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers Kai! Here’s my question: Do you think video games are now pushing visual storytelling forward more than films in certain ways? If so, what lessons do you think Hollywood should be taking from gaming?

Qadeer

Anytime Kai, been here before 40k what an absolute time to be at 100k, your going to skyrocket next year I know that for sure!!!!

Qadeer

I did want to ask, if you ever wanted to direct your own movie in the future, been learning so much from you witj sl the lighting tricks and angles

Cheshers

Congratulations Kai! Very glad to be along for the laughs and the lessons. We've seen a lot of games turned into movies and tv shows in recent years with... varying succes. What do you think are the biggest challenges that film creators face when attempting to adapt games for the big screen?

PrincessLayup

If you were starting out in the film/entertainment space for the first time in 2025 do you think you would try and enter the same line of work or lean more towards game narrative or something like that?

Kyan McDonald

Absolutely incredible milestone to hit, well deserved! What has been your favourite piece of media you have discovered through your YouTube channel As your someone who works in the film/media industry, what’s your thoughts about it at the moment, do you have any tips/suggestions to beginners looking to navigate it?

Noot noot

Congrats Kai for a 100k 👏🏽 My question is, if you could direct any video game or anime into live action with an infinite budget, what would it be?

JRCollections

Congratulations Kai! Been around since 35k and just became a patreon this month! Love the content, and don’t change a bit! You have taught me so much about film and cinematography. I am actually hoping to get my first video camera soon! For my Q&A question, I just wanted to ask what have been your top three pieces that you have covered on the channel over the last 100k and why? Thanks again for everything!

EAMixtures

At what point where you feel more disconnected or dissatisfied when watching a film, great cinematography but has a bad story or the other way around?

WraithBringer

Wow congratulations! That's fantastic news. I've enjoyed every minute. I've always appreciated unique perspectives and it's great when it's a genuinely nice person making the content and sharing their wealth of knowledge in an entertaining fashion. My question is a bit a two parter is that's okay? So my most controversial opinion is that Alien 3 is my favourite film of all time. I prefer the assembly cut myself. My teacher in college for games and media loved the films and often cited the visual storytelling, the visual design, architecture, lighting and camera work to tell a nihilistic story that was apocalyptic and beautiful cinematography. What are your thoughts on Alien 3 both technically and for how it fits in the franchise? And do you think that the Alien franchise is still telling new and unique stories or like me, do you feel that it's getting worse every time. Personally I thought alien earth was awful, Romulus was a great first watch but every successive watch I see more I hate about it and the previous prequels Covenant and Prometheus are missing the third act. I hated Covenant at first but now I think it's an unpolished diamond.

Chris Clark

Wow congrats! So with your time learning about video game cinematic etc. Is there anything you have learned from them and applied to your film making. Also who is your all time favourite transformer character?

ammogreed

Congrats Kai! You have an amazing channel. I'll do you dirty on my question. You are tasked with casting a Red Dead Redemption 2 movie/franchise or series adaptation. They can only be actors who currently work the industry. Please name the actors you would choose for the following roles. Dutch, Arthur, John, Hosea, Micah, Sadie, Mary Linton, Angelo Bronte, Agent Milton, Ross and UNCLE! 😂 Quite the task I know, but I'm sure going to enjoy watching you select them.

The Dutch Dude

In what way have your thoughts and opinions around games as a storytelling device changed? How would like to see them evolve?

David Jurik

Kai my boy🙌 huge congratulations it's impressive milestone 💪 I remember when I just discover your channel with few hundreds subscribers and now look at you 🔥🔥🔥keep it up buddy 🙌 hit the tape 🎬

Jamie Rowe

Congratulations dude on 100k I do have a question and it’s probably one you have already considered but will you do reactions to any more transformers movies. I also noticed you made reference to Abe during your Arkham asylum review would that be a possible review as well. Congratulations again dude. 🤘

N7Phoenix115

Love this question/topic regarding gaming and how it has changed his view or own practices of film making!

Tristynn

Your content makes me wanna make a movie 😭 anyways I have two questions, would you ever want to direct a game's cinematics and if so what game would you want to do? (Existing franchise or something new you would want to do) And my second question is what is your favorite thing you've reacted to on the channel?

The Dutch Dude

What game surprised you regarding its level of cinematography and story conveyance/immersion 🤔

Katangled

Congratulations Kai! 🩵 I’m so proud of how far you’ve come!!! What is your biggest guilty pleasure movie? A film that has a special connection to you but maybe doesn’t have the greatest cinematography or story. A film that you’ve seen over a hundred times, know all the words to and always happy to recommend to friends. It is your own personal happy place. For me it’s ‘The Road to El Dorado’ or ‘Clue’

WHAT IS THE BEST GAME YOU'VE REACTED TO STORY WISE

Local Degenerate

Given you have experience. If you had a room full of aspiring filmmakers, adults disguised as teens who aspire to be filmmakers, or maybe just the typical situation: adults disguised as teens who secretly turn out to be bipedal dogs who speak Ancient Sumerian whom can control fire presumably with their barks (It's impossible to ask them how, as you and I both know: given the immediate paralyzation that occurs due to their cosmic portal showing a infinitely branching timeline of events which never happened, and never will happen.) what advice would you give them?

Fsaitza

Congrats on achieving this goal on your career Kai, and more to come in the future. My question is this: Imagine that someone offers you the chance to make a movie, a tv series and a commercial about any game you want, and you have to choose a different game for each format (game A for a movie, game B for tv series and game C for a commercial). Which games would you choose?

CPTTANKER JOE

Congrats on 100k! Do you have any tips or basics when it comes to writing screenplays/stories/movies/or “documentaries”? I’m currently trying to make my own version of the Halo TV show but keep jumping around too much and want to make something coherent and straight forward. Think Band of Brothers, Generation Kill, The Pacific, and Halo 4 Forward unto Dawn

James Nyman

So happy you hit 100K! What do you think is the most important film in the history of cinema? I’m asking this because I feel people should take cinema more seriously nowadays because I think a small handful of directors are only trying to make money for their own personal gain. What is your stance on that? Also my choice for the most important film is Schindlers list So proud of you hitting 100k! Can’t wait for you to earn more!

NinjaLantern53

Congrats on 100K, feels like yesterday the channel was just starting out! 🥳

Daniel McMillan

Congratualtions on 100k! After going through many different games, films and tv shows, are there any specific charcters that have really really stuck with you?

nbillinger2

CONGRATS- I’m unsure if it’s been asked but it’s pretty simple…if you had as big of a budget as you could get, what would be THE thing that you’re making? Whether that be a movie or a series; what’s the genre, idea, etc?

Kevin

Congrats on the 100k Kai! How big is the backlog these days, mine is getting bigger each year. So many games I can't keep up!

PizzaGuyFrank

In your early days working as a paint specialist at B&Q, a customer spotted your color expertise and asked you to create a speaker reel—your very first paid client project, even though you had no idea what a speaker reel was at the time. How did that chance encounter influence your journey from mixing paints to becoming a self-proclaimed 'color addict' in filmmaking and YouTube breakdowns?

I thought for a moment there I was reading a comment I wrote haha. This person knows me better than me! Been on the old camera shake podcast. Great chaps those. I actually worked with the photographer from that show a few months ago.

PizzaGuyFrank

Oh nice haha, that’s right I got you on lock buddy boy!

PizzaGuyFrank

Damn, i thought it’s been a phrase since like 2000s, basically means I’ve got ya pegged or figured out. This is your phrase of the day to learn lol

PizzaGuyFrank

Haha! I’ll ya give some more context, man is this a US thing or something lol? Means got you down to a T. Can’t get more simple than this one: “I know a lot about you” English language is cool eh?

Kai Zammit - Filmmaker Reacts

Sounds kinda creepy if I'm being completely honest. As long as it's fun and healthy, I don't mind you wanting to know more about me.

PizzaGuyFrank

I was just messin man, common exaggeration joke where I’m from, all I’ve done is seen that podcast episode you were on lol didn’t mean to give ya creeper vibes, congrats on the 100k btw. I’ve done 2 years of film at my local uni, then dropped out and done just a little bit of small time (un payed) film projects with my old high school band or just with my friends and like ur stuff is all. Been watchin ya since you reacted to the “The Last Bastion” overwatch animation. This is kinda stuff I’ve done: Filmed my old schools perform at Lucas oil stadium https://youtu.be/A2u_WaA9TUw?si=P9ei19yydO7cim5i And this a a 3 minute short film I made in university with my friends (I was required to have an egg in the story) https://youtu.be/KRfRDlc3Qew?si=U_vhlQ9yaHxCGOhc So there ya go figured I’d even it out

Kai Zammit - Filmmaker Reacts

I thought you were messing about and it's okay but when someone says they know a lot about you, makes me wonder how much and I immediately think about my children etc. Safety and all. I like you guys being interested in me and I like getting to know you guys too. I'll check your stuff out a little later fella. I'll also answer your question in the 100K video. It's probably not what you're expecting as there was a big arse gap between my first ever client to YouTube. Did you enjoy that podcast episode I was on? Was a while ago now 👴🏻. Can I ask why you dropped out of Uni? If it's too personal, please don't feel you need to explain yourself or you can always message me privately on here. The Last Bastion! You've been with the channel since the early days. Thank you so much for being apart of the community fella. I appreciate you🙏🏻💪🏻

PizzaGuyFrank

Hell ya no problem! The podcast was cool, you and I are kinda similar in the way where like to focus lot of the post production part, that’s what I’m mostly into. Main reason I dropped out was I didn’t have the money to keep going as for some reason no scholarship would have me despite good grades and excelling in extracurricular activities (luck of the draw I guess idk). But also I didn’t much like working on the bigger sets they had me work on where it was too many people to work with whom I didn’t even know. It was a lot more stressful and forced to work with people who didn’t share the same creative visions as me; compared to the fun times I have with running the show myself with a group of people I know, like that short film I linked or one I made before going to uni where we did a short humorous recreation of the American bandstand from the 1950s: https://youtu.be/eP9OTRw8Zso?si=mcm8mwglXbuQcG5d Currently I’m just working some job to save up money to get a camera. I really been looking at that new camera you mentioned earlier here, ZR with the RED tech, looks sick!

Kai Zammit - Filmmaker Reacts

Thank you for being apart of the Patreon and community fella! Since 35K, You're a legend in my books. Thank you for your question. Just recording the video now but wanted to say thank you.
