Re2 remake is easily my choice and its not even close. The one on right is Re7 and it's my 2nd recommendation

I doubt it'll win as it didn't sell well but Alan Wake 2 is an amazing experience. Proper Twilight Zone type stuff.

Hey Kai I strongly suggest that if youre doing Alan Wake you check out the first game and then Alan Wake 2. The storytelling of it is definetely worth it. And the second game it can be confusing at times if you dont know the story of the first game.

Definitely support this one. While Alan Wake 2 is at least in my opinion much more refined in story telling the story that is being told is purposefully chaotic. Alan Wake 1 definitely would fill in a LOT of question marks that would for sure pop up when watching Alan Wake 2.

Until Dawn is in the same situation as Detroit were i think its better saved for a long term series that can look at all the choices instead of a single playthrough like the other games on the list.

How is Until Dawn winning this? It should be a very close tie between Resident Evil but Silent Hill gets the win.

Dead Space Remake gets my vote. Motive did an excellent job with the source material as they redid the game in it's entirety. New camera angles, new character deaigns, more voice acting and they entirely relit the entire game top to bottom and did a fantastic job. The game's flow also was modernized to take advantage of fast storage making the pacing more tense. Dead Space really doesn't get enough credit for how good it was overall.

Yes Alan Wake 2 is heavily reliant on Alan Wake 1 for set up. If you are going to do that series, do Alan Wake 1 them Alan Wake 2 then the DLC content for 2.

Let me put it this way - John Carpenter really wants to make a Dead Space movie. Not sure how Until Dawn is winning this as it has path nature means you won’t get the full experience on play through. Dead Space remake/RE2 remake I would strongly suggest Alan Wake and maybe even Control before AW2

I think that if you're planning to do Until Dawn it would be best if you recorded while playing the game, since this game has a lot of paths and endings depending of the choices you make while playing the game, so for the best expirience for this game is to see your expirience while playing it and see the choices you make. This also applies to games like Detroit Become Human or The Quarry It would be very funny to watch you play Until Dawn and this types of games Also there are two versions of the game: the original released in 2015 and the remaster released in 2024 I suggest using the remastered one since the graphics are updated and newer scenes were added to the game

My concern is that if I were to do that, I'd be worried about my decision and not thinking about the filmmaking and lighting etc. My brain drives in one lane only.

I'm the same way so totally understand on that point And since the point is the filmaking aspects we could see how playing the game could take the focus out of that In case you do end up doing Until dawn I think it would be good to see which type of playthrough you"ll like to see and which type of ending so you can use the most of your filmaking expertise

I'm surprised Alan Wake 2 hasn't been on the channel yet. The game is very cinematic, not to mention it's full of videos with real actors. Essentially, they're snippets of the film. Match made in heaven. But I agree that you should definitely watch the first game, Alan Wake, first, since the second game is a direct continuation of the plot. Luckily, it's very short. Until Dawn is a game that's more fun to play than to watch imo. Especially if you get to a playthrough where decisions are made you disagree with.

Alien Isolation isn't my pick for the poll but it's one of the scariest games I've ever played. Dead Space and the Silent Hill 2 remake are up there too the rest i agree though

Alien isolation is scary to play but idk about anything of value for Kai to analize, it's so bland lightning wise. Resident evil 7 is atmospheric as fuck in comparison to all of those games.

I agree with everyones comments about Alan Wake, the best way to experience them are Alan Wake1 - Control to Alan Wake 2.

Oh Alan Wake 2 is a must, if not now then later! It's one of the most filmic/arthouse games I've played quite frankly! Even has a bunch of live action in it too, and it works!!!
