Hi guys,

I'm setting up my end for the Winner of the last gaming poll. Until Dawn Remake.

However, I want the best video so you guys are happy. How does the video from Gamer's Little Playground do...verdict? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qJohMJcra8&t=638s

If there is a better video to watch then please post your link below followed by a reason why. I will go through the comments and then make my call.

P.S. I did think about playing this one on camera but I know I'll be thinking more about the decisions in the game rather than the filmmaking. I do not want to do that.

After skimming through I believe it’s a good one to watch based on some of their outcomes, I’m sure knowing gamers little playground there will still be some funny stuff here in there like them not seeing an interact button when it shows up or something lol.

I believe some like the original more than the remake but I dont have the best knowledge to stear you in the best direction when it comes to Until Dawn.

Having played the original and remake with a platinum trophy, it's very difficult because this game you can kill any number of characters, save everyone or kill everyone and the sequel has a hidden ending for the collector's who pick up clues so it depends on what you want from your video. Personally I'd suggest the remake, visually much more impressive than the original with extra padding in a few places that need it. That being said, I wish it was Silent Hill 2 remake, that game is a masterpiece. Until Dawn you can't really cut out gameplay sections because it is very much an interactive movie and important context can be lost very easily by missing small sections.

If you want a playthrough that does some extra side clues for collectable stuff and has very little cut out of the playthrough, MKFireAndIce had a solid playthrough. Also since the game is very choose your own adventure esque. Every playthrough will be different. Personally I like their outcome for this playthrough

They have good playthroughs of all sorts of games and they usually include almost all the gameplay with minimal edits

Considering the idea of the video is to dive deep on the Filmmaking aspects of a game i think GLP's video fulfills that objective I watched sections of it so we'll have to see what GLP's video has in store for us 😂 Another person suggested a playthrough from MKIceAndFire which is a pretty good alternative if you want to get a little more gameplay and context of the game and story

Hey Kai just a tip for you to know about the game mechanics, since its a game based on choices and quick time events, choosing to press a button it is as important as choosing not to. I am not giving any spoilers btw, but sometimes interacting with something you thought was useful or pressing the right button in a quick time event could actually impact negatively in the characters. So who knows, this could be the first game where maybe the outrageous cluelessnes of GLP could actually reach the best outcome. Or the worst one earlier, any of them is possible A game that explores more those game mechanics is Man of Medan. You would love it, so check it out if you like this one first

After briefly checking out both I would go with the recommendations for MKIceandFire's video. They're both about the same length and this one looks a bit better, it isn't in ultrawide but the GLP video screwed up the resolution so full screen on a widescreen monitor has the black bars x2 effect for me (I run 21:9).
