This game pretty much left me with nothing to say except WOW! This is so, so good! The writing of the story to the way it is shot plus the editing from Andy Gilleand channel. This is very much my cup of tea, actually I'll take the whole pot!

I like them hiding the choices but also part of me wishes that they showed all the choices during the cutscene, so he knows what was picked and what wasn't

I will say I love how they cut out a lot of the in between tasks and walking around though. Makes it more movie like and cinematic

I dont know if it was said, but there are quick time events! Usually during scenes like where kara fought todd, but i can't quiet remember there other places you'll get them. Cause they are QTEs XD

Maybe someone mentioned already, but the individual scores for Kara, Connor and Markus had different composers, I always thought that was a cool choice.

I have never seen so angry before while the Todd stuff was playing xD Loving that you're cowering this game even though I probably have seen like 4 different playthroughs of this already. Like others have said yes there are A LOT of choices to be made and QTEs like something simple as choosing Karas haircolor when she cuts her hair. They obviously cut out those light cirkles because they scream ANDRIOD. A lot of those quick cuts and digital zoom ins during action scenes are there for the QTE usually when it zooms it it's either press or mash the X button or when they cut quickly it's a lot of you either hit or missed the QTE button then it switches scenes to play the correct outcome. While playing it it adds to the immersion while playing and the intensity but obviously while watching it like this I can see how it pulls you out. Also at the end of each chapter you get this spreadsheet with things like x% people found the ra9 statue in the shower so you can see if you miss something or just in general like x% people hit Todd with the lamp which is obviously cut out to make it more like a movie. Can't wait to see the next part!! have been looking forward to this one for a while!

Probably the most compelling part of first playing it (for me) was when you buy the paint at the beginning. Yea, there’s a blank, “robotic” look on their face but the ECU’s make me believe that in reality, they have this deeply disturbing implicit understanding between them and their own existence.

Hey Kai just so you know there are some moments where its literally life or death situations for the characters, and for example in the last scene on the persecution if you fuck up you can get destroyed by the cars, and that will end that character's story. With Connor you can go on, because it gets replaced with a new version of the android, but his bond with Hank will be very affected if he always gets replaced and it will influence the ending. And for the future, there is a character that is hiding a secret you havent even thought about, and I know that when it gets revealed later, your mouth will fall to floor

i think that the creator of the video is trying to cover the most “contrasting” and cinematic options, making you experience different things with every character. there are A LOT of choices in the game that you don’t see, and basically everything you say/do when playing the game has an impact in one form or another. literally so many ways the story can go, depending on how each person plays it. so happy you’re covering this, thank you for that!!

I wont say, so keep watching. And about the editing of the video, Andy mentioned he mostly just removed HUD elements using VFX, which represented almost 15% of the whole movie, and optimized it so it looks best on a device supporting HDR Youtube, but also making sure it looked good on SDR grade. That's why you feel there are so many cuts sometimes, because there are many scenes where the gameplay part of character walking towards the next item or place was cut, so it always feels like its doing things one after another. The rest of it, its the game itself showing why its so good after 7 years, and its crazy to think that when it was released ChatGPT didnt exist yet, and now we are getting closer to the reality of the game with human-like androids being shown around the world

I'm watching this right now, but I had to pause and comment on the fact that you called the Carl character, Bishop. I get it. In my mind that dude will always be Bishop from the Alien franchise🤓

You asked why other androids haven't done what Marcus did. Maybe they have, we don't really know, but a bit of lore that was missed in these videos is that Marcus is also an advanced prototype. It's not really clear if he has more advanced capabilities but it would make sense.

I don't know if it's the edit or if this is the pc version but it definitely didn't look this good on ps4.

I would say the majority of this isn't technically a cut scene, because there are constant choices that drive the conversations - with the fast paced cuts, they are cutting out the quick time prompts so you are losing some frames which makes the action a bit more choppy than when you're playing. Playing the game really does feel like a movie like this does, just a little slower paced because of exploring and choosing actions.
