🔥I said this week would be a double bubble Batman drop! 👀

The second entry of the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy and "And Here We Go"!

I loved this film... even though you wouldn't think it as in the post-watch review I do have 4-5 things I moan about. Tiny things but enough to pull me out a few times and that isn't good! I do go over them to clear this up from my perspective.

Regardless of that, this film was an experience and such a treat, a pleasure in fact watching with my filmmaking lenses. This film has every right to leave a lasting impression with me and most likely, you too.

Like normal, lets find out together why this film leaves that lasting impression and why it hits as hard as it does! Lets also discuss the yo-yo letterboxing and what that does to our viewing experience.

First of thank you for the rection. I must say some of your raised ciritcs actually never troubled me when I was watching the movie. I never even noticed it. /o\ Could be the curse of being a professional. :-) But it did help me to realise why I would choose The Batman over The Dark Knight as the best Batman movie. Both movies have great villians (with Heath Ledger as the best one yet), great wiriting, great action sequences and great music/sound effects. However the usage of the colour grading and lighting really sells The Batman for me. So I am looking forward to your impression of the Dark Knight Rises, which in my eyes is the worst of the trilogy cause of the dialogue and the story. I wonder if the cinematography plays a role in that too.

Gonna check out the trailer for Maul: Shadow Lord? The animation looks stunning.

Kai: "I can tell you right here and now, the best cinematography when it comes too shooting vehicles... ... ... wow" That gave me a proper hard laugh

My friends older brother was a PA on the movie and I believe the story behind the hospital was it was a real building that the city of Chicago was set to demolish so they let Nolan plant the explosives for a bunch of those shots but the wide shot was the actual scheduled controlled demolition that the city had planned and they just added a gasoline etc to make more of a fireball. That’s why when it collapses it looks like a controlled demolition falling down on itself.

Haven't seen this film in years! It's goood but there is so many nitpicks that I don't like that I prefer Batman Begins over this. Heath Ledger is phenomenal, but I feel like they just shot this in a average american city and there was a lack of style in Gotham. The action is bigger but I actually prefer the action in Begins, because when he goes hand to hand it just feels so sluggish and slow. And the voice cracks me up everytime I can't take it seriously! :D
