I knew this game would have me second guessing my WAIFU but holy Fish n Chips! I think I've found the one...

We all know the The Lady In Red song by Chris de Burgh but after this, I want a Lady In Blue!

I said in Part 1 that I don't think this game can surprise me with where it wants to go with the "game", okay I may have been wrong there. This part, we've got Mad Max with a tournament arc - proper anime style that one. We've got another contender for the Waifu spot, Boss men letting out their inner thespian, an excited dirty little man, a taste of Eurovision and Cloud as a woman!?

Ahhhh Mate! This game has it all and I love it. Play The Tape!

This is significantly longer than the original. This game is about 40 hours long but the section that it covers of the main game is only about 4-5 hours. They vastly expanded the world building. For context the entire original game takes roughly 45-50 hours. Remake takes about 40 and I probably played Rebirth for about 80 hours. And that is indeed John DiMaggio (Marcus Fenix). SOLDIER have "Mako eyes" where there's green bleeding into them. Clouds eyes are blue but you can see the green around the pupils. Basically they're Mako infused super soldiers.

Make sure to take a look at the intermission DLC once you finish the main story.

Absolutely priceless seeing your reactions to the absolute over-the-top fun crazyness of this "game" (I'd rather call it an experience). So stoked to see you enjoying it this much after recommending it a bunch of times. Cause you asked: all three games in this trilogy are (being) made in Unreal Engine 4 (third ones still in development, should hear about it later this year)

You want to know how they can keep up? Watch FF7 Rebirth and then FF16. ;-)

There's a lot of important dialogue you miss when walking around out of cutscenes. And this is an action JRPG, so you actually control Cloud and party and fight in real time, not turn based like the OG on PS1. For both of those reasons I think that it is worth a playthrough, on PC or PlayStation 5

Hey Kai so some fun facts about the game so far The part of Cloud being turned into a woman believe it or not it was in the original game 30 years ago, and people were expecting the Honeybee Inn part in this game, and pretty much all of the Wall Market arc Also I didnt mentioned it earlier, but after finishing this game, you should not jump to Rebirth inmediately. I recomend you to watch Final Fantasy Crisis Core Reunion, which is a prequel game of this one. You will get to see Sephirot when he was a war hero, Cloud as a beginner troop and who is the mysterious lover Aerith talked about, especially because it will be a very important character after and seeing him with no background would feel a little shallow. Crisis Core Reunion is also a remake of the original version of the prequel, so the graphics are updated and looks almost as good as this one. Also there is the movie Advent Children which in some way is an epilogue and closure to the main storyline of the original game. And you can see how the texture and graphics have changed for the characters since then. That one you can watch it after watching this Remake and Crisis Core.

Love this. Also love the Policenauts theme over your summary.

I dont think you should play or watch crisis core before Rebirth it is not necessary. Same for Advent Children

Everything in FF7R was basically in the original outside of expanded segments, and some boss fights in the remake were just random rng enemies that were turned into boss fights. "It's just a house" again sad that these videos leave out so many story moments and moments between characters since its only cutscenes but I guess they didn't think it was important for some reason

nickwatic

Omg it doesnt even include their full conversation walking across the rooftops 😭😭 thats such an amazing scene for cloud and aerith to see their interactions

nickwatic

At 1:35:00 the game i believe youre talking about is dead or alive. And the music in the tifa/aerith section is a new arrangement of Tifa's Theme

nickwatic

The entire ff7r trilogy is being done in unreal engine 4

Wish you had used a video that included some of the gameplay as there are story beats that are not in the cutscenes, and it is missing boss phase transitions. Unless you plan on playing this later.

Even though I stopped liking this Remake trilogy after playing through Rebirth. I wish these videos had some gameplay of at the very least the bosses. These games sometimes shine the most in gameplay. And if 16 is ever on the list. Skipping the actual boss fights is a sin greater than murder. But it must be hard finding the perfect video out there. One that doesn't have bad gameplay, that doesn't show unnecessary stuff and dialog, that isn't dark as hell or overexposed like a nuke just dropped like this video I think is. Still hope you're enjoying the craziness that is this game. I was once blown away by it.

FF7 Crisis Core is good to watch after Remake and Rebirth. Gives a full circle!

Stari

Yeah I recommend NOT watching Crisis Core before Rebirth. It spoils a large bit of the story. It was a game made after FFVII, so I think it should be best to view it after the series. And the movie should 100% be after Rebirth at least. Another spoiler in the movie.

So since this is a remake, you have new players and OG fans. Because of this, they wanted to change a few things and drop hints of things for the OG fans, to keep things fresh for them. Since technically they know the story. That's why some scenes may stand out a bit. Something you've pointed out with the music, is there are in fact pieces meant for certain characters, or groups. So like the piano piece when you meet Aerith at the Church, that's her theme. Or the funky music when you meet Reno and Rude, the Turks theme. The music is a part of these characters, shows their personality. And when you hear it, you think of them. That's why it can be a bit 'all over the place'. It's one of the aspects I really like, because it's yet another way to give a bit of depth to scenes. And for the OG fans, some of those moments hit a bit different when the music plays. I hope once all is seen, you too can look back and hear those pieces the same way.

So... I put the subtitles to watch your reaction, and I'm laughing, coz I saw 2-3 times*fart* and *burp* what is wrong with this auto generated english translation XD About the eyes, it's the green hue in Cloud's eyes, it's not "natural" it's the mako (poisoning his cells) as he is a SOLDIER. They (soldiers) all got this, same as the dude with his bike chasing Cloud around. He is a soldier too.
