What a slobberknocker! Enough said.

I love covering these All-Bosses videos! They are so much fun and you get such a blast of creativity, be it the characters, the moves, the set up or the actual world itself.

It was also great to see how this game influenced Elden Ring and you can not only see it but feel it too. Even when not playing. The only sad part is the re-used bosses/assets but I believe if you’re playing it, you’d be having fun with it. Probably exactly what it said on the tin of the DLC but I can’t comment as I’ve not seen it. I personally hate it when moment is lost from characters or monsters when being seen multiple times.

This game looks like so much fun and I would probably say, due to its more “linear video appearance”, something a little easier to pick-up, navigate and learn over Elden Ring which looked massive and somewhat overwhelming.

I can’t wait now for the next game you’ve got lined up for me and more importantly…

What Bosses are waiting for us in the next video, Play The Tape!

Love that you're checking out bloodborne but wish this guy let the bosses breathe rather than baiting attacks to stunlock them, oh well. You should check out the weapons in your own time. Theres only about 20 or so in total but all of them transform and they're really cool. Great vid Kai!

My favorite from software game

Bloodborne is the best From Software game, I'll die on this hill. And the music is a chef's kiss.

This was a PS4 exclusive title. Xbox never got to play it.

Bloodborne does have story, very deep one. One you will not digest correctly by normally playing through the game. You gotta read every item description and find the creation of the world by reading the description of pair of sandals. That's every From Software game though. There are ranged weapons, bro has it in his left hand all the time. He just ain't using it because ranges weapons in this game don't do a lot of damage, they're there to parry. And most enemies have a very short windows to hit them and leave them on an open state to do that sticking of the hand thing for huge damage. Guy just wanted to look cooler by not using it. And as for that repeated environments. It's a side dungeon thing that is randomly generated, and a boss awaits at the end. Sometimes is a unique boss, sometimes is just a regular enemy but tougher. It's like a grind dungeon. But like all things in this game, very story relevant.

No mods! Bloodborne was Miyazaki’s first “faster paced” Souls/borne style game. Before, Dark souls and Demons souls were slower paced and even had shields where you could simply block enemy attacks. There is only one shield in Bloodborne and even it’s own item description labels it as essentially useless in the game. Even the standard “dodge-roll” the series is known for is replaced with a “dash” in Bloodborne. Dark souls 3 and Elden ring are still way faster paced than the original Dark souls and Demons souls, but I’d say there is a definite argument to make that Bloodborne’s combat is still the fastest of all the Souls/borne.

Zarosio

I would add that those dungeons, called Chalice Dungeons (for Kai), is where the Mother of this nightmare is. She's the final boss of the fixed dungeons.

Two shields. One base game (wooden shield) and one DLC (Loch Shield). The DLC shield is only effective against non-physical attacks so still practically useless.

If your wondering about the 3 endings the first one shown was you taking Gehrmans place as a sort of watcher of the dream. The second one shows you leaving the dream and the hunt and the 3rd one is a secret ending you get from finding 3 umbilical cords. Afterwards you beat the moon and become a newborn god

I always wonder, what is your opinion on these more gameplay heavy, with less cutscenes, games? Do you enjoy doing them even though there isn't much you can apply your skillset to in your reaction?

Dustin Pulu

so from 51mins-1hr:44min:23sec are all from the chalice dungeons, completely optional part of the base game and as you noticed a lot of reused bosses/enemies but some new ones unique to them. After this starts the DLC until the 2hour 1 min mark. Also those white spirits or specters are other players, the red tombstone things are players you can watch from a point up until they died and can give hints of like traps or hidden enemies. Im assuming this isnt necessarily a "hitless" playthrough but just beating the bosses without getting hit, because during the Lady Maria fight you can see a bloodstain with like a small reddish pillar coming out of it. Thats the players Echoes (or souls) that they dropped when they died.

This is literally in my top 3 all time games, it's a work of art

Idle Analysis

Ludwig, The Accursed/The Holy Blade is my favourite boss, the two phases, the cutscenes, the setting, the design, the music has to be my favourite boss soundtrack, I wish the player let it live longer lol

Rasknitt

So with the mergot's wet nurse and the 'nightmare slain', why do you think the banner only popped up after the baby stopped crying?

Rasknitt

The 3 endings are as follows: Ending 1, the usual one. Refuse the execution, fight gherman, and become enslaved by the moon presence to send hunters to hunt whatever great one it deems to be hunted next. This is the usual 'normal' ending of from games, where the cycle continues as it always has. Ending 2: be executed, released from the hunter's dream, and wake up to a new dawn Ending 3: acquired by finding and consuming 3 pieces of an umbilical cord, repel the moon presence's attempt to enslave you, kill it, and become a baby great one in it's stead. Great ones are basically godly entities for bloodborne's world

+1 to covering again asura's wrath. That was literally the video that made me subscribe to the patreon and here I am so much time later. And also youre going to love sekiro. Its like wukong mixed with elden ring kind of. Youre going to love it, especially with the aprry sistem I find it more satisfactory . Hard af but worth it

Societii

Awesome video! This player makes the game look twice as easy, but through understanding the game rather than cheese like the Elden Ring magic build. A lot of these bosses take most players multiple hours to beat for the first time lol but like you said, they get a lot easier when you fully study them

Jonas B

Honestly, I know it's not really what you do on your channel, but I genuinely recommend checking and reacting to the VaatiVidya Bloodborne story explained video. This game has some of the coolest and most interesting lore I've ever seen and Vaati is a phenomenal storyteller. If it's against Youtube's TOS or something, you could maybe even just keep it as a Patreon exclusive? I really think it would give you some really interesting insight into the game and the world.

Just know that what this video showed is only a tiny fraction of why most people love these games. With specifically Elden Ring my first playthrough took over 100 hours because I went around to experience everything I could because of the worldbuilding and wanting to know more. The challenge and fun of the boss fights kinda came second to that. Yeah, whoever sent this video really robbed a lot from your first dive into Bloodborne. This video is more of a "Look how good I can play!" for people who have played the game and not someone who is a cold caller. Souls games are usually already confusing, but a big part of the games are the worlds themselves and the challenge and tension of the gameplay and the "Look how good I can play!" no hit run videos strip those things away (as well as most story things not related to bosses) and make them much more confusing.

Sekiro is my all time favorite from soft game, the gameplay is so fast and smooth. Its so much fun to play.

Holy cow... this guy did this run with a smidgen of health... did they only focus on a strength build? They didn't even upgrade stamina much either...
