The Ferrix survivors are in serious trouble, and they need Cassian now. Mon Mothma faces a shattering dilemma.

Also… A naughty boy cums (👀) knocking for a “happy ending!”

Reading the synopsis for this episode, all I could hear was Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler.

Do-do, do-do
Do-do, do-do
Do-do, do-do
Ah, ah

I need a hero!

I'm holding out for a hero till the end of the night.

He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast and he's gotta be fresh from the fight!

All jokes aside, as much as I love this show, instead of holding out for a hero… I’m holding out for a new episode format. I’m hoping Episode 4 is my or A NEW HOPE. As I mention at the end - maybe it's a be thing?

Surprised you've never seen the Imperials as Germanesque before, thought it was pretty blatant. The Empire have always been space Nazi's lol. As you saw later Luthen was vaguely telling Mon Mothma that he was going to have her friend Tay killed in order to keep him quiet due to the blackmail, not that she has to go into hiding. That's why she crashed out because she's finally starting to feel weight of this rebellion, she just lost her closest childhood friend because she trusted him with something that she shouldn't have. Kellen didn't actually turn Brasso in, Brasso just said that to try and remove suspicion from Kellen for harbouring them. I thought the Stormtrooper firing was pretty clear personally.

"Kellen didn't actually turn Brasso in, Brasso just said that to try and remove suspicion from Kellen for harbouring them." I thought that originally! That's why she went into super drunk mode! Damn. Regarding the Storm Trooper, yeah my eyes didn't go that way. The actual shot and the way it pushed in told me everything I needed to know. The top of the gun was also flashing red due to the other storm troopers firing. Thanks for helping me out!

I loved both seasons, but what really bothered me about this episode is the blatant callout of "He tried to R*pe me". The audience already knows the Empire is evil and I think it really took me out of the story telling. It was too "on the nose" for me. Remove the line and I think the scene still works fine while getting the point across. Glad you are enjoying the show so far and I can't wait to watch the rest of the season with you!

You're not the only one with that line. My initial thought with it was and I know it will sound dumb. Rape is a earth word. Not a Star Wars word. I expected it to be called something different or like you. "He tried too" cut her off. Kudos for that word to even exist in a Star Wars product.

So, be prepared for some more marinating in the next 3 episode arc, lol. After that though, it really kicks into gear. Feels like the challenge of the overall season’s strategy—compressing 5 years of time into 12 episodes. Still, the payoff hits hard.

So many great characters in the show, but by the end of this season Mon and Kleya are my favs Will be interesting to hear who is your at the end :)

I think you feel this might be not enough "bang" (I personally like to use the idiom 'the juice was worth the squeeze') because the majority of current media is designed for quick drips of dopamine. Think tik tok/shorts/instagram reels etc. The reason people think Andor is too slow or there's not enough action is because they're so used to being given things immediately and/or (pun intended) they're watching tv with their phone out scrolling. Even Netflix streaming shows said they have to exposition dump because people aren't paying attention to what's on screen. The fact that Andor writers treat you like an adult, where you have to pay attention and read between the lines reminds me of older well written/done shows. Add to the fact that because you have to pay attention to what's on screen, the cinematography, sound design everything else hits that much harder compared to modern day written shows, hell even movies. It may sound pretentious, but if you people can't sit through a slow burn like Andor, it indicates to me that they don't have the media literacy to appreciate something... And that's ok because this piece of entertainment/art isn't made for them. It's just sad they can't appreciate it on a deeper level.

I think using that "word" was appropriate because this show isn't designed for kids to watch in mind like most other star wars media. Given the heavy themes and allusions to fascism, I think it's totally in line to highlight it. I remember when this episode aired, some internet folks were FURIOUS with how dare they bring such a horrific thing into star wars. They wanted Andor to be like other Star Wars media - all about the Force and clear lines of good and evil.... which if they were media literate is the exact opposite of what Andor is trying to tell.

i don't know if it was mentioned, but this show was going to be 5 seasons with each season covering one year, and they cut it down to 2 seasons as the first season wrapped. effectively 4 seasons of content being covered in season 2.

The night is Dank and full of Memers

Sorry mate but it is you, not Leda, who misunderstood the scene with Mothma. Mothma wasn't trying to save her, she was trying a feeble attempt to assuage the guilt of using her daughter for political reasons, it was a completely selfish and impulsive thing to do, and Leda saw straight through it. Mothma KNOWS Leda isn't backing out, if she feared that, she wouldn't have said it. She said it so she could feel like she gave the option all along an never pressured, while knowing Leda is still going to go through with it. Also, missing Brasso saving his friend from suspicion by calling him a rat is surprising!

The night is Dank and full of Memers

Obliterating a planet, killing billions, child genocides and experimentation. All fine and dandy but how dare they portray another thing that authoritarian totalitarian regimes do en mass?

The night is Dank and full of Memers

It is sad that he is missing things while saying not enough bang or nothing is happening. Misread the Leda Mothma scene, missed Brasso saving his friend from suspicion with the fake accusation etc. In the prior episode, missed that Tate said Rebel attacks were what cost him his money. Its unfortunately been visible since season 1 ep 1. When Syril is reporting to his boss, Kai read the scene as "He doesn't like one of the people who died so he doesn't care to investigate it and wants a story made up instead." Not at all what is happening in that scene. Then missing Val and Cinta when "Shes already sharing a blanket" Camera pans to Val :P

I feel like saying the climax wasn't worth it implies that the lead up isn't good or enjoyable which I totally disagree with. This show is a political spy drama and the writing carries it as well as the action in my view. Sure other episodes peak higher but in no way do I think anything isn't worth it 🤷‍♀️☺️
