The final part is here and I’m worried for my boy Trevor!

When you’ve got characters you love and the writing is outrageously good, not to forget hilarious. You’ve got a bloody hard job of making the perfect knockout ending.

Did Rockstar do it? Is this the best ending for a game like Grand Theft Auto V? The right conclusion for the characters who have left their mark on me like Trevor’s shitty underpants!?

I guess we better for one more time… Play The Skidding Tape!

In an early version the option C “Deathwish” where Michael and Trevor live, was originally much darker, Franklin was actually supposed to actually die somehow maybe sacrificing himself; then Lamar would’ve had a bigger role and take Franklins place as a playable character, but Lamar’s actor got “tied up” with the law in the middle of production and went to jail for for like 5 months, so they had to change it.

I think there are other open world games like Sleeping Dogs, Saints Row 1 & 2 (3 & 4 are divisive), Mafia series (the open world for 1 & 2 is more a backdrop but I in my eye it still works) and Like a Dragon / Yakuza that are worth considering. Maybe even some of the FarCry and Assassin's Creed games. As for GTA IV, I would say give it a go including both expansions even though "the lost and damned" is divisive compared to "the ballad of gay tony".

Aw man they cut out the best conversation in the game. On the car delivery mission when Franklin is asleep, Trevor and Lamar have a huge dialogue as you drive to Paleto Bay.

I get the third wheel feeling for Franklin but he has a ton of story / content that's not "main story" so it's not shown in these videos, super cool to look into for your playthrough!

Surprised nobody mentioned this, but at the part where Trevor trips over the fence right after saying "my n-word!", there was a sort of legend that the whole thing was improv. I just found out the cast actually talked about this in a Q&A panel at the MCM London Comic-Con, and apparently due to the technical restraints of their mocap equipment a fall like that couldn't really be improvised. So maybe parts of the dialogue were improv, but the fall itself was planned beforehand. Here's a link to that section of the conference. In the producer mission where you gun down the guy beating on Solomon you do go back and Michael is named co-producer in the new movie

I too am skeptical about the story of gta 6. I mean, without Dan Houser as a writer. This man gave us rdr, gta 5 and rdr2 and I unfortunately don't see how anybody can possibly approach his level of writing unless Rockstar Games got Neil Druckmann (Naughty Dog) on board🤓 I'm am how ever starting to get a little excited to see what the next gta world is gonna look like. And once again I just gotta say, I really enjoyed watching you go through these cutscenes. Thanks Kai🙏
