I know it’s not right but I absolutely love naughty Cloud. The sword, the armour, his brow. All of it works so well as a quote-on-quote bad guy.

It was also fun this part to call stuff before it actually happened too and the reason, I say what I do at certain points in the video is because I could see it in my minds eye before it happened. It also shows you and I remind you of this, you’ve seen these kinds of shots before. Years worth of content you’ve watched throughout your life but now you’re able to understand or have a better understanding of the moving image, shots used, colour palettes and why it would fit there in the story. It’s awesome!

In this part we spend our time in a transforming labyrinth, fight some soldiers, fight some Turks, Cloud gets blood on his face again and we duke it out with one beautiful dragon. Speaking of beauty, Tifa’s forward flip axe kick had my eyes spinning like a slot machine. What a combination of moves and camera shots… Holy shit!

Part 9 will be the END of our Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Series; I can’t wait to watch it with you guys but equally I’m gutted it’s coming to an end.

the temple part was very long, too long for my liking, google says its 3-6 hours long

Reno disappeared for a while because ingame he had a vacation, but in actuality I believe the Japanese voice actor passed away and out of respect left Reno out, presumably until a suitable replacement could be hired.

I think the music at the end during Aerith speech is in part the or a FF score? Always slightly new interpreted for the corresponding game. But I could be mistaken there. Already sitting on the edge here to see your reaction to the last part of this game and how you feel about it. And remember, it is not an end just a very long pause until FF7 part 3 next year, ;-)

S M

Yeah, I think it is the main theme.

This game is available on all consoles now, I think? I saw someone waiting for it to release on Xbox last week. They announced that it will release simultaneously on all platforms for the 3rd game.

The music playing at Aerith's little speech towards the end is actually the main theme of ff7. Once you familiarise yourself with Aerith's motif it becomes more easily noticable. It's an ascending 3 note pattern and then a descending 3 note pattern. Apart from that I do recommend checking out FF7 Crisis Core once you're done with Rebirth. It's the prequel game to Remake centered around Zack and it also features Cloud and Tifa's background. It also covers what actually happened in Nibelheim 5 years ago. It's not nearly as long as Remake or Rebirth so it shouldn't take too long to cover it. And not to mention that ending is absolute cinema!

Tifa's landing with the dragon after the axe kick resembles the way Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff lands in the Marvel movies. The "Knights" you fight are SOLDIERs too. So kinda ironic having the ex-SOLDIER Cloud fighting them The temple was very long. I think it took me 5 hours to get through it. The time stamps for several hours prior with the clock wind backs actually makes sense in that context considering the real time play length. Remake and Rebirth now are available on all platforms, though they did launch exclusively on the PS4 and PS5 first. If you DO watch the trailers for the 3rd game, note that there are 2 seperate trailers, one is the reveal trailer, and one is a gameplay trailer. There is also additional teaser scene they show at the end of Summer Games Fest that I haven't seen anywhere else. So, might be best to go back to the SGF stream to watch it all there.

There's a reason Cloud hasn't had his flashback memory sequence. I will say no more :) But that's why I recommend you DO NOT react to Crisis Core before Part 3.

Neko_Otaku_ Guy

There is a reason Cloud didn't get a trial, but that has to wait till later.. Also, even watching this video, as a grown ass man of 39 I was bawling at Aeriths trial..when I first played it I literally had to set my controller down and have a damn good cry it hit that hard..

Andyroo

I think it's because the only lines they had where what they already recorded and that was just the temple. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they still used lines from the deceased actor

When the party met Vincent Valentine in Niebelheim about 2 videos ago, Cait Sith says that Vincent Valentine is a former Turk. More stuff about that to look forward to later ;)

Like i wrote after rebirth watch all Trailer from Finale Fantasy versus 13 /15. Ther are great Trailer and have a stroy to tell. And are great cinematics early versus 13 Trailer are masterpieces, the first ff15 wher the Rebrand happend is cinema

Alex-Mind-Tooth

He should not watch it, because it will spoil the big twist of ff7, plus the writing of crises core is dog shit

Oh you have no idea the last part is crazy. Interested how you're gonna understand it and what you'll think of it.

I didn't want it to end lol! Temple part was my absolute favorite - even including the stuff that comes after. The storytelling, music and action just works together perfectly here in a very grounded way I thought.

Man, that boss fight against Tseng & Elena was one of my absolute highlights of the game! You noticed the classic 90s jazzy ost and it really took the fight to absolute heaven, especially after all the build-up with Cloud slowly losing it. I'm a 33 y/o woman but I was jumping up and down from excitement to that score at 3AM with work the day after 🥲😂. One of the best gaming moments I've ever had. (Indeed, becasue of the momentum I don't think there's any good place to stop from here until the end. Finished the game at 7AM and called in sick lol).

Ruukasu97

totally understandable what i really thought was annoying was how long the gravity change took.

Austin Ball

Some of the best music in the game is in the last section, big orchestral/choral scores. Great stuff, looking forward to the reaction.

Be ready for the biggest sandwich with double the ingredients in part 9 because you are going to get hit with a lot! People are still arguing on what happened and that's by design. Tifas landing is how Cloud landed from the train the very first time we see him. The temple is my favorite part of Rebirth and I love dark Cloud. He's not quite acting like Sephiroth but he's not himself. I love how it starts subtle with rude comments and distant body language.

Hypnosimp

I absolutely loved your rant on Cait Sith at the start. And you had me laughing so many times especially after Cloud wiped the blood from his face xD Ah!!! You cut it off right before my favorite part. Next part is going to be spectacular! Oh yeah second viewing is huge in this series of games. Like at the very beginning when Sephiroth tells Cloud to “run away, you have to live” he was quoting his mother’s dying words to Cloud and doesn’t click until you rewatch Remake after seeing Rebirth. So much of Remake clicks more after playing Rebirth. And I’ll bet my bottom dollar even more will click after part 3.

nickwatic

reno is also pretty absent anyways in this part of the game. mostly a rude/tseng/elena vehicle

The reason they like to use those L2 and R2 gimmicks a lot is because they made some new tech for the PS5 controllers. Basically, those two triggers (L2 and R2) have a device in them that can raise and lower the resistance they have. So when you're doing the L2 and R2, they usually slowly ramp up the resistance in the buttons making it harder for you to press them. Or they do it right out of the gate at full power so you're suddenly struggling to push those buttons down. It's not like... HARD to press them at max, but it's a noticeable difference. Like jarring the first time it happens cuz you're used to them easily gliding.

Aerith's mom is really beautiful, yeah. I uh... I played these games with my mom watching me. We started with Remake right before I moved out and then I came back to visit a bunch for Rebirth. I didn't cry the first time I saw the Aerith scene, but I cried like a baby and needed tissues after watching that with her.
