Holy fucking shit... I've never seen this movie before. The thumbnail reminded me that I've seen a trailer for it and I remember I was unusually interested in watching it, but some life events made me forget to watch it. I just watched it for the first time here and holy shit the art is phenomenal. It's like every single frame has its purpose. I don't know what these artists and the art director got paid but they should get a fat bonus. I cried 4 times watching this... for some reason this movie unlocked some deep feelings inside me and I have no clue what they are, but I needed this.

I think you should check out the first Shrek movie. The animation and rendering is quite dated but I feel like it strangely adds to the movie and overall vibe. Would love to hear how you think it compares to modern animated films like this one.

Hey Kai so for the animation is popularly called 2.5D, because of the mix between the 3D elements with the 2D ones, and after the spiderman movie and this one there were more movies that came out with that style because of that interesting mix. And yeah you must check Rango definetely. The writing will be the main focus, so you can be hyped about that

This move was killer when it came out, worth the watch for the visuals alone but the story is wonderful for how fun it is. Antonio still got it. Also if you are sharp enough Shrek 1 and 2 have extremly mature jokes layered across the movie, some you even wonder how they got away with. Theres a saying amougnst some that shrek is three movies in one depending on how old you are when you see them. Would love your take on how it shows fairy tales and its time period. But I caught that mention of Kung fu panda, No short selling 1 is fantastic but 2 may just be my fav Dreamworks movie, I personally put it above how to train your dragon and that movie is incredible.

Yeah you can see the age but honestly its never been an ugly movie, I also think it helps with how entertainingly strange everything is in the world of Shrek. Certified classic at this point for sure.

Oh wow this was good. I´ve always had a soft spot for Puss in boots. To me, Antonio Bandera`s Puss has always felt like one giant easter egg, because he reminds me of one of my absolute favorite movies. "The Mask of Zorro" from 1998 in which Banderas played opposite Sir Anthony Hopkins. (btw, the reason for your nose running when you produce tears is because of the two ducts in the inner most corner of your eye. Those two ducts act as drains when there is too much liquid in your eyes and channels the tears through your nasal cavity;-)
