I realize that, considering the amount of editing you had to do to put out episode 8, and the amount ahead of you for episode 9, it is very possible that by the time you read this, you already know how the season 4 story ends because you have already recorded it. But I will continue as if you haven’t gotten around to it yet. I absolutely believe that Eleven did the right thing with Papa! It was so well acted! The long pause that Eleven took to reply to Papa in the end said more than any dialogue could! She was struggling with exactly what, or what not, to say to him. In the end, her “Goodbye Papa” was all that was needed for her to close that horrible chapter of her life. So well done! I personally think that Will’s love for Mike goes beyond just friendship. But what stands out to me is that, despite his true feelings, he only wants the best for Mike. He considers Mike’s happiness over his own. I also think that the implication is that Jonathan knows this. That is why he was looking back at his little brother in the rear-view mirror. Anyway, that is how I interpreted it. Of course I could be very wrong. Won’t be the first time. The ending song of this episode is by Journey. It’s called “Separate Ways.” A great song for the scene and one that perfectly sets up the finale. These guys work hard to get the right songs for these episodes! As for the Season 5 trailer, I personally do not plan on looking at it. I think that a lot of times they give away too much in these trailers. For me it ruins the surprise. I like not knowing anything extra going into a new season. For instance, the trailer for season 4 gave away a lot of the plot line. Those who thought that Hopper was gone found out in that trailer that he wasn’t. You also would have known that Max was going to be in danger by seeing her with the clock. I liked not knowing. I liked being surprised. Again, that’s just me. So, no, if you react to the season 5 trailer, I won’t watch. Sorry. I can’t wait to see your season 4 finale reaction. I think that popcorn and a cool drink will on my menu for that one. I am just really happy that you have the Patreon channel so that we can be with you for what I consider one of the best episodes of the series. See you then!
