A lot of fans of the show don't like the Avatar Day episode but I think it's fun, and it has a crucial moment in Zuko's character development with him splitting off from Iroh. Can't wait for the reaction next week. One of the best episodes in the series!

William Rosmer

zuko is stealing to get the comfort he enjoyed as a prince back, because he's lost hope of ever going back. he's sharing it with iroh, and maybe even getting things for iroh, but it's more about him than it is pampering iroh. Him being still a bit entitled while iroh is truly humble is why he comes to the conclusion they want two completely seperate things and should stop traveling together.

A mere Almond

Iroh said "That is the meaning of inner strength". So Iroh was making up a definition of inner strength. According to Iroh, when someone is feeling very defeated and sad, someone with inner strength is able to find hope that things will get better. And someone with inner strength is able to push past that low point and work their way back up. They don't need something on the outside like the Avatar to give them hope. They don't need money, a fancy tea pot, friends, good looks etc. Zuko said "I thought about what you said". So Zuko listened to Uncle's advice. Zuko feels like he needs to find that inner strength within himself and he shouldn't rely on his uncle. But separating isn't exactly what the uncle had in mind. But still, he respected Zuko's decision. By the way, this episode was filled with so many "WA!!!" moments LOL. Maybe you were meant to be in a Bruce Lee movie. Ice vs Bruce Lee. You both stare each other down. Get in the fighting stance. And then "Waaaaaa!!!"
