Dang, I timed getting off work and groceries done just in time for you to post 😊 you’re just going to love the end of this show, it’s peak entertainment!!! Also Friends of course 😂

iirc the beach episode had issues with the swimwear since it's a kids show he has a very unique style of firebending that uses the metaphysical third eye (which is tattooed on him) to firebend. their mom didn't hate azula. she hated what azula was becoming. they notice when they're younger. they usually don't TELL them until they're older. in the episode where they show aang finding out he's the avatar they explicitly say they're telling him early because of the war brewing. sokka would know about the lack of bathrooms in spirit world, he was trapped there for a day or two back in s1. if it makes you feel better, you're not the only reactor i've seen think sozin set the volcano off. i think sozin went to help his lifelong friend, then when he saw him struggling he realized his plans could happen. roku and sozin were zuko's great grandfathers, not grandfathers.

Fang trying to protect Roku from the volcano always gets me too. And the whole friendships transcending lifetimes thing 🥹🥹 One of my favorite episodes. Also, outside of a couple brief lines of dialogue in Season 2, this is the first episode with Iroh's new voice actor. His name is Greg Baldwin. He really does a great job emulating Mako's voice. It's hard to notice on first viewing unless you're really paying attention to it.

I think the message was that anyone can be good or evil. Like Iroh was evil attacking Ba Sing Se. And Zuko is trying to become the new evil firelord after his dad. Sozin and Roku are Zuko's great grandparents. So Zuko's mom is Roku's grandaughter. Sozin went to the volcano to help. He had no intention to harm Roku. But when the opportunity presented itself to him on a silver platter, he took it. Basically, backstabbed Roku. Its not covered in this show. Its in a comic book actually. I stopped reading Avatar comic books long ago. But Ozai married Zuko's mom just because she was Roku's grandaughter. Ozai wanted to have really powerful firebending children. So no love at all. Just some weird political and family legacy reasons. But that is what all royal families did in history. They never married based on love. It was always political and transactional.
