Post Your Week 1 Music HERE for Lament Bass Workshop (Patreon)

The assignment is fairly simple, just write some diatonic major music that features lament bass! Here's two examples I show in the lesson:

Soft Piano Lament in C:

This piece arpeggiates the following chord changes. The bolded changes are NOT lament bass, but the rest is! Atop this I've written a simple melody, and all in all, the entire thing sounds a lot like Styx's "Sailing Away" (as pointed out by Patreon member Jason S)

I'll be selecting a handful of songs to review individually and upload feedback for, as long as they're submitted before Sunday morning (the 6th). I'll try to pick songs where I can offer the most help to the student, but if one of you creates a real masterpiece (it's happened before!) I won't be able to resist showing that off!
