Just got back from a trip to visit my wonderful partner Goopypanther/Hale in Seattle, Washington.  I used to go there once or two a year but for whatever reason Hale has been coming to visit at my place for the past two years and I haven't gone to their place in that time.  I really like it there so I want to start going more, especially because I keep forgetting how cheap it is!  It's less than $200 for a flight!  I was there for three days, an evening, and a morning (so a little less than 4 days total).  We did SO MANY THINGS!  We baked bread, cooked meals, went to the beach (and found a driftwood house, pictured above!), went to the Asian market for cooking ingredients and imported treats,, went to a European deli for more imported treats (I got some zephir to try for the first time and they are SO GOOD), had dinner with my parents, went to an arcade, got bubble tea, hung out with our friends James (Tegiminis) and Daphny (POOPDOGGYBALLS), baked more bread for CassioBunny, and I drew a lot (as you can see by my recent uploads!).  I was feeling really inspired and drew more traditional sketches than I think I have the rest of the year combined!  I got some parchment colored paper that I'm REALLY enjoying, I think it helps get rid of blank-page-itis and I love the look of the finished art on it.    It's also an excuse to play with my new white gel pens.

On Sunday afternoon I got home and was really happy to be back.  I miss Hale already but there's no place like home and I had been missing CassioBunny and our cat Socrates, not to mention my own bed (Hale's is really lumpy, haha).  Cassio and I are pretty much homebodies but after such a packed weekend I'm inspired to try to get out and do things more.  Cassio has some pretty severe anxiety and isn't always up for leaving the house but hopefully we can find some things she feels safe doing!  At the very least I want to see if I can find an arcade nearby.  There's a nickel arcade I know of but last time we were there almost all of their machines were broken :/

I also want to start cooking more again and more adventurously.  There's a Safeway literally 5 blocks from our house so there's no reason not to just pop over and get ingredients as I need them!  I want to see if I can find some mung bean flour so I can make the Chinese crepes that Hale and I made together, they were really good and I'm pretty good at making French crepes so I think I could do a good job on them (and I want to make French crepes again too, it's been way too long!).

I smoked too much when away from home as usual but I want to really buckle down and get my smoking down.  I need to quit ASAP!  I've been taking way too long with it.  I also want to get firm with myself about food again, I've been having an issue where I've reached the point in my testosterone-fueled second puberty where I'm hungry ALL THE TIME so I need to start making healthier food choices so I'm not going over my calorie budget all the time!  I've gained back 9lbs of the 20 I've lost so far, which I am really frustrated with.  I was doing so well!  I know it's normal to slip or plateau when trying to lose weight but it's really gotten away from me so I need to focus and take it seriously again.

Speaking of body changes, I've made an appointment for a consult for top surgery in December.  I'm not sure what to expect but I really want to take this step in my transition.  Thanks to all of those who played sounding boards for me and helped me make this decision!  I think I already knew what I wanted, I just needed to hear someone (or someoneS) tell me that it was okay to make that choice.  Now that I have decided I am so ready to just have these things GONE!  I know it will be a while before we make it to the actual surgery so I'm trying to be patient but ughhh I am so excited to never use a bra or binder again!

That's it for me for now, please tell me how your November is going!  Do you have any plans for Thanksgiving?  Eyeing anything for Black Friday or Cyber Monday?  Do you celebrate Christmas and if so have you started your shopping yet (I need to start mine, yikes!)?  Talk to me!
