In one of the first eps of Solo Leveling we mentioned a genre change since we have been mostly watching kind of similar things. Demon Slayer, JJK, Solo Leveling (Humans vs some creatures) etc. What do you guys think? Should we try different genres or keep it the similar genre for now?

It depends what you want honestly. Alot of the popular animes follow the same themes of humans vs creatures but the different types of animes are not as popular and won't get as much engagement so it's really down to where you guys would like to go moving forward. I also think its alot more difficult to notice since you guys are not manga readers, but animes like jjk and chainsaw man that only have a season or two seem quite simple and lacking of a storyline that is different to other animes you guys may have watched. Thing that seem insignificant now in certain animes become more prominent later on so I get why it seems like you guys are kinda watching the same animes with the same genre but there are some keys differences that are more noticable down the line. In the meantime its upto whether you guys want to switch it up or not. I personally like the humans vs creatures but I also think a change would be refreshing. Sorry for the yap session and happy new year 🎉

Change is good. Maybe try reacting to a sports anime or things like that. Since you’re changing the genre the anime you’re watching might be more lowkey or not as popular. Which is fine but I would just make a post listing out potential stuff that you might wanna see and have people recommend anime that way. Like list out what’s a good gaming anime, sports anime, fighting anime etc. and have people comment shows matching that genre ❤️

Yeah I see what you’re saying. We do see the differences in similar things. It is kind of interesting that mostly that specific genre is the most popular lol. Maybe we can try a couple different ones and always go back 🤷🏽‍♂️ Happy new year! 🎆

Also wanted to mention that a new anime Sakamoto days is coming out on January 11th on Netflix. It’s about a hitman. From what I’ve heard it’s human vs humans. Manga readers say it’s peak. It’s one of the most anticipated anime’s of January besides solo leveling. I know it’s probably gonna get recommended a lot to you guys when it comes out. And it can be your one of your first human vs human anime’s . Still action and fighting but at least it’s not demons.
