Mappa are releasing 5 anime this year, 2 of which are chainsaw man and jjk season 3. They currently own the anime rights to chainsaw man and they finance it on their own, which means they can spend a lot longer on it and have a much better schedule. However in jjk's case, people from the outside of the company invest money into the project and would like to see a quick return which causes a very rushed schedule. So hopefully they get vinland saga on a good one. I also checked and so far they only have one announced for 2026 which isnt vinland saga unfortunately.

yeah the whole industry is just cooked, most animes fall into other people financing it and so the actual studios get like a quarter of the whole profits. Which is why its so rare to find animes like chainsaw man where you can tell there are way more drawings. Been this way since the 70's
