Isagi is a average player playing with very talented players. Everyone has strong individual talents except for him. And when he finally evolves to get up to their level the stronger players get even stronger. So that’s why when he evolves in one match by the time he gets to the next match he has to evolve again because the stronger players already moved on past him. It can get frustrating but I think they’re trying to be realistic when showing the character development of an average joe vs multiple prodigies and former star players. To give you guys some hope at the end of season 1 and in season 2 they are not always showing just isagi and his thoughts so you will get to listen to other player and their thoughts process during the matches. But until then just bare with isagi lol. 🙃
