First, the serial killer did not imply that the special forces captain was a parasite. The captain had killed a civilian who stood in his way without batting an eye. So when the captain told the killer, “You have to help me find the monster,” the killer replied, “Look who’s talking,” meaning the captain is a monster not a parasite. As for how they found out, there were several ways. The detective had left notes for the police about the parasites and their telepathy. The woman also worked there. But most importantly, the detective’s notes were key, they mentioned multiple times that those notes contained a lot of valuable information(place, hunting ground, telepathy, some identities....).
