Boruto without fillers is great

Ryan

Maybe in 2-3 years

Dato

Broblem is that 70% or more is fillers 😂

Ryan

Wym, about the fillers?

Deniz and Masha

Yeah. Why make the majority of something fillers? Doesn’t that mean they are all irrelevant? No need to watch?

Ryan

Well sometimes, but they use it for development (character- , worldbuilding etc.

Deniz and Masha

70% is a bit much for that imo but anyways 😂 We will see in a couple of years 😂

Ryan

There’s many reasons many reason to do fillers like more episodes, more money, avoid to catching up to the manga

Personally, I don’t think Shippuden is really worth it — but since you’re enjoying it, it might not be a bad experience to keep watching. In my view, the story loses focus over time, with lots of loose ends and confusing structure. And honestly, the female characters are poorly written throughout. There are some great moments, sure, but with so many episodes, I don’t think it’s worth the effort. Naruto was a big part of my childhood, but when I tried rewatching it as an adult, it just didn’t work for me

All long anime have the same problem. Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach were ruined by the studios, but let's not confuse the anime and the manga. We don't hold the writer responsible for what these studios ruined.

I get what you’re saying, but to me, the issues go beyond just the studio. Even in the original story, there are characters that felt important but ended up going nowhere, and big shifts in tone that made it feel like the story lost its focus. Some arcs just didn’t land, and certain characters — especially the women — were really underused. So yeah, the adaptation didn’t help, but a lot of the flaws were baked in from the start. But that’s just my opinion. there’s definitely stuff to enjoy, and who knows, they might end up loving it like any Naruto fan would.

These things happen to all mangaka, even in the One Piece anime. Oda has many weak points in his story, but we are enjoying the journey.
