The show is such a great watch, just a relaxing anime that you dont have to think deep into

Agree in general, but not here lol. DanDanDan just isn’t for people who still get excited every time some dude screams about friendship and punches harder. It’s for people who’ve seen 200+ of titles and want something off. It’s chaos on purpose. Comedy, shounen, supernatural, aliens and so on. it’s one big fever dream of Deniz after he had 60 hours of an overtime. And it knows it. The show literally makes fun of itself half the time. It’s not trying to be deep all the time, but when it hits, it hits hard. Some of those "haha so random" characters get real backstories that are straight-up painful. You think it’s a gag, and then you get some hardest trauma ever. And you know the Turbo Granny thing/ Yeah, sounds dumb if you watched only 1st episode. But (SPOILERS) that spirit is literally the rage and despair of girls who were graped and murdered in that tunnel. Of course she castrates — that’s the point. Japan doesn’t sugarcoat. Also let’s be real — the alien banana hunt is just there so the show can laugh at itself and we laugh with it. It's stupid for purpose. I don't find it funny at all but I don't mind it exists. It doesn't even matter tbh. In the end the whole point is in the journey. It’s not perfect sure. but at least it’s not another safe boring clone. Every anime season we have like 60 animes with ''good stories'' but they are boring as f. DanDanDan does its own thing, and yeah, sometimes that thing is weird.

Really happy that you two enjoy spyxfamily this much :) Also, people are defending DanDanDan?? I remember watching the first 4 episodes when it aired and had to stop cause it just kept on getting worse every episode.. Idk, seeing aliens wanting to steal bananas and turbogranny wanting to.. yk, is just awkward and weird. 14 year old me would have probably liked the anime but it's 10 years too late for that
