Sasuke only went to orochimaru because: 1) To get the Curse Mark /Amp 2) To train, because orochimaru knows a lot of stuff, and his learning rate will be a lot of faster which is true. We saw the difference in power between naruto and sasuke in episode 1. There was a huge gap in power when they met, and they both trained under the legendary sanin for 3 yrs 3) They had a common target which was itachi. So, sasuke as a kid was ready to sacrifice his own body to orochimaru to defeat itachi. But now after years of training, he realised that he has become a lot stronger and he has no reason to give body to orochi. 4) Also, he disliked orochimaru's actions and goal doing experiments on random innocents or other people.
