Sage of Six Paths basically splits his power into 2 and passed his power down to both the lineage of Uchiha and Senju. Once you combine the two powers you get the power of the six paths. That is why Madara is saying he is the second sage of the six paths

Danzo was also using Izanagi but through his right arm thats why he loses each of the Sharingan in his arm because he was using Izanagi multiple of times. He also implanted some cells of the first hokage into himself

So basically the Six Paths power comes from the Sage of Six Paths, who's like the OG of all ninjas, his ultimate power is the Rinnegan, that let you use the Six Paths abilities that we saw with the six pain. The Sage had two sons and they're basically the ancestors of the Senju and Uchiha clans. The Uzumaki clan (Naruto, Kushina, Nagato) are actually distant relatives of the Senju, which is why they have also crazy chakra Danzo tried to use the whole Uchiha + Senju combo but it was all artificial and stolen cells. But Madara is a true uchiha with senju cells (also stolen but he is a uchicha that why he say is the second six paths) and pain was a uzumaki with rinnegan (that's why he is the third) 🫡
