Well you’re kinda there Deniz with the Mangekyo theory. Its more so because Kakashi and Obito saw Rin die so that activated the Mangekyo

There was also a scene where Obito was about to transplant Itachi's eyes to Sasuke, in the background is a bunch of Sharingans. Thats why Obito had 2 sharingans when he was fighting against Konan, he was using those eyes
