^Tiffany to me if I don't get this done on time! :O  - EDIT: "Oof, that's a yikes from me dawg."

I'll edit this post with my progress as I make strides over the next 48 hours to get this thing done for you guys. There will be a release by the end of the 31st. Hopefully it will include everything. If it isn't 100% complete I'll release it anyway and will push a patch on the 1st to fix any minor issues or missing images.

This was a bit of a learning period for me as I figure out how much I can do in a month while taking input from you guys and managing my regular work-life. Things will go smoother in future months now that I've got things figured out better.

It should be fine, but I do have to sleep for a bit and have a 8 hour work shift Tuesday so we'll see. Wednesday - Thursday I have completely free so we'll see how this goes. I also forgot about 3 images I needed, but I've rendered them now. The only 2 missing are from the random zombie anal scene. But I'll prioritize editing and implementing the boss fight and basement scenes first. If worse comes to worse I'll just have to add the zombie anal scene in a patch the next day.

If you ask me, Tiffany should rather threaten you with a breast reduction as that would be much worse than being shot. Just saying. That would motivate me more than the simple inconvenience of being shot ;) anyways: thx for the progress bar ;)

Jimjim

Oh the horrors! Just in time for Halloween!

Ari Korpela

Im sure the future updates will go easier for you too!(Atleast the non-boss related ones since they require little bit more "oomph") like you said the first few months are always slow and more of a learning process to make things smoother later on:D Its great that you are starting to figure out what and how you want to do things. As a smart man once said knowing is half the battle.!( Atleast thats how i remember it lol)

Jimjim

Thanks guys. Renders done (though more would have been nice if I had time), most of the editing done. Last bit of mapping done. Got to work my 8 hour shift now. Will try to power through the rest of this when I come home...

Karl Hungus

Dude, just want to let you know all your hard work and effort to keep us updated is very much appreciated. I can't wait to play the new update whenever it's finished. Thanks a ton!

Jimjim

Thanks, back from work now... so it's back to work on this :)

Jimjim

Well, I've really gone and done it now. ETA's and everything. o.O Gameplay section took a lot longer to iron out. I decided to complete it before editing the rest of the renders since I knew it would take a while. Turns out there was a lot of issues with having Vanessa or Killing Robert etc, I think I've got it all ironed out now though. Also I've added the anal scene, it's all in there and ready to go. Made 2 extra images well. All that's left is basically the long and tedious task of editing the rest of the renders and implementing them into the game, adding options etc. The reason it's 13 hours for the main ETA is that I need to grab a couple hours of sleep for a bit, and will need to eat at some point haha. Anyway. Something will release in around 13 hours or so.

Jimjim

Had some sleep, finished editing all of the renders, implemented some more gameplay stuff but there's always something new that breaks, or that I need to consider so it will probably still take a little while to iron that out. For now I will focus on implementing the scenes and then see how much time I have left after that.

Jimjim

And that's what I get for giving time estimates. But hey, they are estimates. Ironed out all the gameplay issues at least to meet my the bare minimum of my standards. Half the basement scene is done. There's a bunch of options so it's more time consuming than I first expected. What's left: The other half of the basement scene, Implementing the boss fight images. And then exporting and uploading for you guys. I'm testing while I develop so I forget that adds a bit of time to things. Definitely coming out. Not gonna pull a Half-Life 3! There will probably be a v0.02a tomorrow to fix bugs

Derperoni

Don´ t stress yourself too much! I think all of us want you to be happy with the version you put out! ;)

Jimjim

Alright. I actually forgot how many options I added for the basement scene. Not that it's crazy. Just a lot work to implement the minor differences between each dialogue choice and make sure things are working. It's done now. Starting work on the Robert scene. It doesn't have so many options sooo it shouldn't take as long but who knows. I should probably stop guesstimating ETA's tbh.

Karl Hungus

You're definitely deserving of a break after this release is over. We wouldn't want you to get burned out ;)

Jimjim

Actually, developing all of the game bits is my favorite thing to do since it's what I've done the least of. Plus I've been spending all month rendering basically to prepare for this. The main reason things were taking longer was because I hadn't anticipated how small features like killing robert or brining Vanessa with you would mess with scenes. So it's just been a lot of work dealing with those. Which is annoying since they're not even big features, just stubs. Anyway, back to it. :)

Jimjim

they didn't take long to implement, but now that they're there I have to put lots of extra checks in place, and RPG Maker's default statement controls are really just too basic to be handling even these simple scenarios with much grace. It'll work, I just need to take a hammer to it.

GuiltyByDefault

Take your time, bud. I'd rather wait and have a polished experience than for you to rush to finish within some arbitrary "ETA" and miss out on content or have numerous bugs to fix. Just keep up the great work.

Jimjim

I need about 30-40 minutes. And a Link will be up. 10 minutes to finish, 20 minutes to test. 10 minutes to export and upload file. Sorry for the delay. It's coming real soon.

Jimjim

Aright guys, Hold on just a little while longer while the version exports/uploads.

Karl Hungus

Nice, and thanks for all the hard work to get it out to us today!
