Happy Tuesday Party Members!

I received a request recently asking for something in the style of Gerudo Valley, and honestly I'm surprised I haven't done this before...that song is the thing of legends!

The most difficult part of a tune like this is getting the strumming guitar sound right using midi samples. When you strum a guitar, all the notes aren't being played at the exact same time. There is a slight offset as the pick moves across the strings.

As a kid, I always heard a strumming guitar on the Gerudo Valley tune, but giving it a closer listen yesterday, I noticed it's really exactly what you'd expect from a midi guitar, where the notes of each chord are being triggered at the same time. It was kind of a shock tbh!

Anyway, I'll keep my jargon rambles to a minimum today. tl;dr...midi guitar man, midi guitar...

As always, thanks so much for your support! I hope you enjoy the tune and have a great week!
