B McDermott

https://garydottiecapersfoundation.org/ Here's the link to his foundation. I couldn't find it in the description. I'm not sure Mr Capers knows just how many people are going to see this and care. Shawn Ryan is the best!

Anita Sue Clark

Nicoli7153

One of your most powerful interviews. This man is a national treasure. Gotta love the unfiltered aspect of him. Tells it like it is with no BS

James Davidson

That was one of the best interviews. I didn’t stop one time from the beginning to the end. Awesome story.

Jori

What a remarkable man! He definitely deserves all the honers possible!

Gretchen Sorrell

I truly hope Trump hears of this man and honors him for his service. Thank you for your service and others like you, that help keep soldiers safe. My daddy game home safe and then he stuffed his service deep down in him and his last few years the war was eating at him mentally. I love him, he took on many roles in life and never put himself first. He a could fix anything, strong as an ox, mischievous, and offered unconditional love to me. I miss him dearly.

Trigger

Great interview

KLM

They don’t make men like this anymore!!!!!! What a hero! Reminds me of my father who fought in WWII at age 16!!

Great Man and the Best interview! Semper Fi! 🇺🇸

FrenchFriedFool85

Good Lord, What a remarkable Man, this Major Capers, what a privilege to watch this interview. I have a new Hero! As theSsinterview was broadcasting I pulled up pictures of Major Capers and his angel "Dottie" and their Son. She was indeed a beauty and their story remarkable, a soldiers wife she was indeed! I experienced the full range of emotions in this interview laughing at the Gomer Pyle Duck crying with his battles in the fields as well as the ones inside. I had to bow my head at the end and Thank the Lord for this officer, soldier, husband, fathers' life from birth until this very moment. Upon hearing his story this country NEEDS Major James Capers to recieve this nations Highest Award and Reward for Courage, Bravery, and One who loves God and this Country. After seeing the Award cheapened given to the likes of George Soros (am I )wrong? AMERICA Needs to give this one coveted award to someone who is Destined to have it. President Trump should make this a Priority and sooni. Make the United States Military Great Again, Honor this Marine! The , The Proud, The Marines! I remember those commercials. The thing that touched me was that I was Born on Election Day 1956, my father was Air Force and he wrote in Baby Book all about the Suez Canal. He wanted to name me Theodore after Teddy Roosevelt but my mother would not hear of it! But he called me Teddy or Teddo. So Major Capers entered when I was called to be by God. I just think the world of you too Shawn for sharing him with us, with me. I watch little TV, your shows are more relevant and true. I will forever hold this one and talk about Major Capers in the days to come. Thank you and Thank You Major Capers for an exceptional evening with one who is so greatful for and overcome with gratitude of your sacrifice and those of the men you served with. I am a better person for hearing your story. I used to play the trumpet, My father played trumpet for a Military University Band Texas A&M in Texas. I remember...

At least like 11-14th (but first on Patreon!) comment on an episode in a row to get Fmr Tier 1 RRC operator @RRCMikeEdwards * on!! Dudes the best. He’s a strong and most importantly an open for anyone and everyone to see Christian, has a ton of time in a Tier 1 org, has some of the wildest (and true*) stories I’ve heard, and the best message there is. His Combat Story, David Hookstead, and both Team House episodes podcast episodes views thru the roof. Edited to correct username for Mike

Camron Hasty

Awesome interview!! What a great patriot and great job Shawn for the patience with him as he sorted out his timelines. Phenomenal job by all!! God bless our veterans and especially the Vietnam veterans

Gilberto Yorba

Shawn thank you for hosting a Vietnam veteran. More of these guys please. We’re slowly losing them. . My father suddenly passed at the age of 66 when I was 16 in 2011. He began to get comfortable and tell stories. I wish I could’ve recorded his stories about the war.

acruhl

Wow that was a tough one. Some stuff was said that I think has never been said on your show. Holy cow. War changes you.

Michael Bandas

Great interview. What a treasure of an American Patriot. Thanks Shawn and thank you Major Capers!

Mike P.

Wow! Listening to Major Capers’ story made my emotions run all over the board::proud, humbled, heartbroken, etc. what a pioneer on so many levels. His up close and personal military experience was no joke. On the battlefield/jungle and off. He and his fellow marines didn’t have the post combat PTSD recognition and support compared to today. He is a true warrior in every sense of the word. God bless you! Hope the push for the MOH continues. Great job as usual Sean, thanks for getting Major Capers story out there.

Sam

What a great interview! He has a great memory and his love for his wife and son is incredible. I bet she was a great lady.

Kurt

I'm thinking right now to God how incredibly thankful I am. I'm only half way through--just after the "parade ground" story--and had to write now 'cause I might not be able to when this is over. What's happening at SRS is something the world has never seen before in media. Sometimes it feels like a physical pain, but I know its not. I know it's the righteous courage and relentless truth being spoken by the guest; and its the way Shawn exhibits the honor, humility and sincerity of a man that just makes me stop breathing at times. All of what this sacred room is doing sometimes (so often it's unbelievable) makes me feel like my spirit is being pierced by unfiltered evil darkness, but also gloriously shining love and beauty. For me, dear friends of SRS who I know feel the same this show doesn't just help me be a better man, it demands it. And that is a true blessing.

Malik Stanley

Beautiful yet rough story. Thank you for documenting this

Rafael06

I asked for an interview like this acouple weeks ago I’m glad Shawn did another one with someone from Vietnam Korea ww2 era! We need more stories like this to persevere history…

Steve P

Legend here! Remember meeting Maj Capers, once when he visited Recon and he was so humble and awesome to be around. Glad you are getting his story out Shawn as this man deserves the MoH while still alive!

Marcus Jackson

Shawn and team thank you. I’ve been with you for a couple years now. So many of your interviews have touched me. This one especially.

jhallig

Excellent…Vietnam was a different can of worms and so glad you’re documenting this history. That conflict had several terrifying aspects to it in terms of the close combat jungle fighting, tunnels, sappers, inability to determine who the enemy was etc. If you really think about what it means to go on a multi day and night mission in enemy territory in the jungle, it’s very scary.

Rich Bayer

Excellent interview. You really are documenting history. 🇺🇸

Cathyfx3

My heart overflows!! May blessings overflow ten fold Major Capers, Shawn and crew!

a r

Respect, wish men were brought up like this in these generation, lost breed. God bless.

Marshall

Great interview.

Hunter

It’s awesome to hear these stories. I wish I could’ve got my grandfather to talk about his time in Vietnam. That man was a steel trap never spoke of anything.

Josh Pomponio

That was a honor to listen to the Majors story a true honor an sir this world is a better place cause of real men like yourself and best wishes an god bless an Shawn brother thank you 👊

TJ

What a patriot! Thank you for sharing your story.

Amit Shamgar

I just had the privilege of watching your video, and I want to express my deepest respect and admiration for your remarkable service and dedication. Hearing your firsthand account of your experiences in both wars, and your time in special operations during the Vietnam War was wholeheartedly appreciated ! Your storytelling not only highlights the immense courage and resilience required in such challenging circumstances but also sheds light on the profound impact that military service has on individuals and their families. The insights you shared about camaraderie, sacrifice, and the complexities of war resonated deeply and provided a valuable perspective that is often overlooked. It is evident that your commitment to serving your country goes beyond the battlefield; your willingness to share your experiences helps bridge the gap between veterans and civilians, fostering understanding and appreciation for the sacrifices made by those in uniform. Thank you for your service and for taking the time to share your story with us. Your contributions are invaluable, and I look forward to hearing more from honorable veterans such as you in the future. God bless you!

BangBangTrimp

Interview reminds me very much of my father (approx same age & 2 tours Vietnam). There’s an extra darkness to some Vietnam era soldiers & guessing it was both the violence & having to carry it alone (no hero’s welcome).

Eric Marchewka

An honor to hear Major Capers story. My father and uncle are Vietnam veterans. There is a toughness and pain these men have carried for a long time. Thank you Shawn for documenting Major Capers story. For giving him the respect and honor he and those he served with deserve.

John Macri

What an incredible man. Even through all his adversity, his love for the country his love to do what’s right to live a righteous life is so admirable. I hope he gets the medal of honor. I really enjoyed this episode. Can’t say enough great things about this guy. What an honor it is to be able to hear these stories. Wish I had his address to send him a letter. Shawn thank you

Amy T

This is probably the BEST interview to date. We have forgotten the older generation of warriors. People don’t understand the type of warfare that happened before 2001. It was unimaginable the things these men went through. I don’t think we currently have soldiers today that could even come close to the mental state of what these wars took on a human. I had a grandfather who was in the Navy and fought in WWII and a father who fought in Vietnam. These bastards (enemies) were a bloody crazy breed. Keep on having guest that have really seen war.

Lyle

I think Sean forgot that Joe McMoneagle also is Vietnam veteran that was on the show. :-D

ray hallman

Thank you sir God bless Great interview

Jake

I’m with that dude down there 👇🏼 god forbid but WWII, Korea, Vietnam we only have so long with this vets we need to take it while we have it.

Sara Wheeler

Bless his warrior heart ❤️ what a great human!

Kirgen

Thank you sir and God Bless you hope to see you on the news receiving the Medal Of Honor!

James

What are wonderful man. Truly one of the best.

Carter Thomsen

All I can say is this interview was very powerful. Thank you

Bobby

Hoping every person under 40-45 years old hears this one in its entirety. What a Warrior! The men and women that went to Vietnam were all heroes in my book!

Tim

Major Capers, even at this age, is a scary individual. Loved this interview.

James Reece

Wow...I'm mind blown, what a legend! Amazing interview!

David Bryant

Honestly...ive shed a few tears hearing some of these stories on SRS but never have i felt such an impact compared to this interview. And after all the tears shed, when major said "not that anyome gives a damn"...it sunk my heart just that much more. We absolutely give a damn. THANKYOU, from the bottom of my heart. Thankyou Major Capers, for sharing your story with us. The world you have endured is met with a major *punn not intended* blessing and i appreciate your willingness to expose a world that is in the shadows. While it understandably sits in that phase...i want to belive youre the light at the end of the tunnel that will hopefully expand into shining the light on just what all you guys have been through in the toughest of times. The vietnam war is a war that is very little spoken about first hand, its amazing to hear the stories from someone first hand, and i hope this encourages more vietnam vets to come on to SRS to document their stories. We all love, adore, envy, (naively) and appreciate the time youre willing to set aside to recount histoy. Thankyou Major Capers for your time. As a candian, i DO give a damn. And i appreciate your life changing words. I believe that may not have been your motive, but it has had that impact. I will forever remember you, and not just you, but the work your men have done for us. Even as a canadian, im excited to teach my children on the impact youve made in our world. From the bottom of my heart. Thankyou. And thankyou Sean for doing what you do. Only you, have the footprint to make all of this possible. I love everyone involved ♥︎♥︎♥︎ From the fullest of hearts, Dave of Canada ♥︎

Kate

Amazing interview with an incredible human being! I'm blown away. There were a couple of points in the interview that shook me to my core. My father (deceased 2003) flew recon in Vietnam. He told me of a story while in one of the cities on a break like Hanoi (that Major Capers discussed) my father was sitting in a room when a bullet came through the window and blew his friend away right in front of him. Major Capers talked about how they were hunted even when on a break.

Dabri

Shawn, this interview is a national treasure. Thank you for your service and giving our soldiers a place to share their journey. May God bless you and all of our troops!

Havoc_Actual

What an incredible career and determined individual, also a loving husband and father. And to be trained by Marines that fought in Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima is crazy. I don’t know if people understand how intense that must’ve been to learn from people like that. Marines that fought next to John Basilone or Chesty Puller, wow.

Sincere

You can literally see the moments. He can revisit that time and space. His whole facial expression changes, he can smell it, even taste. It’s so feral. He gets so lost in that space, he just radiants information but it’s electrifying. When Mr. Capers says, “ I’ll kill them all”. It’s not a facade, he could, and would. And DID

Kai Lozano

This man is a legend. So much respect for him .

Kai Lozano

What I would give to sit and have breakfast with this man . I could listen to this guy all day long.

Tanya Van Patten

Thank you for your service and God bless you.

Amanda Lee Courtney

I love him, his story, his love for his wife, his love for our country and his cowboy boots. Great interview! God bless him.

Joe

Great interview Gob bless you both!🙏
