22nd September 2026: Tiny fix for Child Sims uniforms not applying correctly.20th September 2026: Added global and per-world options for school uniforms, so you can add them for all school-age Sims in Willow Creek, for example. You can Reset and Edit school uniforms using any Sim from a Dresser, Phone → Business, or Computer → Career. I've also added compatibility for AnyShift so that Sims in multiple careers can have their uniforms edited too. Also added uniform adding/editing for After-School Activities. Don't forget the newest version of my modlibrary.

31st August 2026: Forgot to add Schools to the actual script, so although the option would show up for Teens, you couldn't actually edit their uniform. Please redownload the attached .ts4script file. Thank you to Orangelover18 for letting me know.27th August 2026: MaepleMae requested a feature to retain custom uniforms even after promotion, so I've added that. It now includes its own script and requires today's new version of my mod library.26th August 2026: I'd previously uploaded the wrong file, so you may have been receiving notifications that this mod was out of date. Hi all,

Just a little mod to give you more control over your careers! It adds the ability to edit your Sim's career uniform from their Phone (under Business), a Computer (under Career), or a Dresser. Your Sim no longer needs to be in a career that already has a uniform set. If they don't have a uniform, you can create one, and they'll now retain their uniform on promotion, so you won't need to keep editing it.

The mod is completely Base Game Compatible; it only shows outfits that are actually available to your Sim!

Click on a Dresser, or go to Phone → Business or Computer → Career to choose your style, from corporate goth to professional slacker.~midnitetech 💚

Could something like this be done to edit the "bathing" outfit category? I hate to glance at my Sim in a shower and see that they're still in an old hairdo or wearing shoes...

does this need to be downloaded to design an employee's uniform? I ask because im just now seeing this and the only exception error I get is "retail outfit picker" something or another. I hope this fixes it XD

It only works if the Sim already has a uniform assigned.

Does the uniform stay the same when a sim gets a major promotion that would otherwise update their work garb?

It would need changing again if the Sim is promoted.

Hi, is the option not showing up for you? Did you download the required mod?

Yes, and it appears that it is not showing up for a specific career and it is the patron of the art career. I tested it with another career and it worked.

As long as the career has a uniform, it will show up.

Hi again, I'm sorry, I commented a couple days earlier on your mod library post about a mod being outdated. Turns out it's this one, but I literally downloaded the latest version here on this post, multiple times, and I still get a notification saying it's outdated. I cleared the cache everytime, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong here. Is there another version of the mod elsewhere ? The Curseforge version seems even older (may 16th)

ingame told me that this mode had a new update but in cursefoge you dont have the new updated ( i use sims4 modmanager to update mods and it dosent show the new update)

Hey, this mod is still being flagged as outdated by your notification in-game even after redownloading and deleting all cache files. The log is saying this: Installed 2026-05-17 ; Latest 2026-08-27. All other outdated mods that were flagged are gone from the log after I updated them, just this one is still being flagged.

Hi, I just downloaded the update to allow kids to wear them and it's still not working for me. It allowed me to select the option but nothing happened. I tried it on several Sims. Nothing.

I think it's the way CAS displays the career category, and is limiting it for Children. I'll tinker!

Would I have to set every single sims uniform for school? Or is there a way to have a uniform for all teens for school?

I can add a global setting so you can set a uniform for male and female framed Sims. I’m not sure if Lot51’s Fashion Authority mod does that already, though?

I have more than 8 sims in my household. I know that because of this, i cannot enter CAS normally because it will delete the extra sims. what do i do in this instance, regarding this mod?

Hi JoJo, I've never played with that cheat, but my mod avoids the normal CAS career edit, so I would say test it on a copy of your Save (i.e. Save As...) and if you have any problems with it, let me know and I'll add a workaround for you. I sometimes miss comments, but shoot me an email at support@midnitetechmods.com

Hi yes it does. It’s not under that option though, it’s under Custom Uniforms in the Career menu.

It's kind of you to reply, but unfortunately, it's not showing up. I'm trying right now. It only appears for adults. And with the adult, the option to edit school uniforms appears, but not the one for extracurricular activity outfits.

Finally, if I pick out a school uniform for when the child goes to school, he wears regular clothes instead of the uniform.

Okay, so I've redownloaded everything and it's showing up now, but nothing happens when I click on it. Could it be because the extracurricular activity in question is a mod rather than one from the base game?

hi for some reason there are no words in the mod?? like the mod is there, the icons are there, but when i have to choose what career to set a uniform for, its just a shirt icon and I'm blindly clicking. any idea what I'm missing or doing wrong? thank you!

Grab the latest version, as that was the fixed one. I'd just forgotten to copy the strings to all languages.

coucou Midnitetech, j'ai voulu traduire ce mod en français car j'avais des bulles vide dans la traduction FR téléchargé sur curseforge, je pensais que ça venait d'une mauvaise traduction mais il semble qu'il y a une coquille dans le string Table d'origine : enfaite il faut corrigé les code couleur dans les clé de texte : 51DBDB19 , E95BE66F , 2232BEC7 , 4E4F1D99 car le texte dans la piemenu n'apparait pas puisque c'est écris au lieu de ce qui fait qu'une fois le fichier traduction.stbl s'ajoute dans sims 4 studio il ecris le code ainsi : et donc le texte n'est pas traduit et la piemenu est vide avec juste l'icone...

je viens de me rendre compte que le code html font color "#6b1fad" n'apparait pas dans mon message ! il faut corriger les le font color car le texte ne sera pas visible... bref j'ai tenté de prévenir tanpis

Hi, the text strings are correct. Ensure you have the latest version, as I did miss out some other-language strings an update or 2 ago.

I think I'm missing something. I'm getting this BE error with this mod installed: The listed script mod failed to load and should be removed or updated. Failure: 'mt_uniforms/promo_outfit_guard' (mt_uniforms.promo_outfit_guard) No module named 'midnitetech_careers' (ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'midnitetech_careers') Which mod am I missing? I've got several career mods of yours, including career collections, so I don't know what I seem to be missing.

Hi you need to download the required mod listed in the description. That error is because it can’t find my modlibrary.

ciaooo. sono ancora io... ora le uniformi vanno ma dipende da famiglia a famiglia. a volte ad un figlio va e all'altro no. a volte quelle dell'attività extrascolastica funzionano, altre volte no... non capisco da cosa possa dipendere

non mi da un file last, però mi da queste problematiche con le divise.... anche per esempio che l'attività extrascolastica ( nel caso specifico la equestrian di adeepindigo) seleziono una divisa ma poi me la cambia a fatti suoi
