Download the unique 2000/01 database face pack to enhance your retro experience.

Make sure you don't have FM running while moving the face pack into the correct folder.

Download the file and extract it with Winrar. Place the unpacked "faces" folder into the Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2024/graphics folder

If you don't already have a graphics folder just create one.

Have fun

Once the faces have been extracted and loaded into the graphics folder is there anything else that is required to do? Loaded up the game but still getting blacked out faces

TheMadScientist

On FM24 go to preferences and click Clear cache and then Reload skin. On FM26 you don't need to do anything.

Joe Thompson

i have followed the steps, the faces load up but dont match up to the correct players?

TheMadScientist

Are you on FM24? If so go to Preferences and click Clear cache followed by Reload skin

Joe Thompson

yeah 2024 - have cleard cache multiple times, still no luck :(

Joe Thompson

I have done ID matching and the picture ID's dont match the player profile IDs in game :/

TheMadScientist

Do you have any other face packs in the graphics folder?

Joe Thompson

I have trophy’s, stadiums, kits and logos in there which all work fine but no other face packs

Hello mate. Brilliant database as usual. Just wanted to let you know that players who play for Kiev, Shakhtar etc don't have faces. Is there an update to add these or is it just the way it is?

TheMadScientist

Hi mate. Thanks a lot. Players in Ukraine have faces on my save, so they should be included in the pack.

Ben Cash

Thanks for getting back to me mate. I'm using it on FM24. Does that make a difference? For an example, they show up on FM26 but not FM24?

TheMadScientist

There's two different face packs. As long as you've downloaded the 2000/01 DB Face pack for FM24 you should be good. Are you using the 2000/01 db Save game file or the fmf file?

Ben Cash

I've been using the save file on the MrTini mod.

TheMadScientist

MrTini's mod should have the same player id's like my file.

Ben Cash

I've managed to sort it now mate. Thank you very much for your help.

TheMadScientist

Very happy to hear that mate. I hope you'l have fun with the db.

Once the faces have been extracted and loaded into the graphics folder is there anything else that is required to do? Loaded up the game but still getting blacked out faces . FM26

TheMadScientist

If you have downloaded this face pack its made for FM24. Go back to Collections and select the 2000/01 db Face pack for FM26

AJ

for those looking to purchase these, don't they do not work, both facepacks FM26 and FM24 are not corresponding to the correct player ID for the retro database. clearing cache does not work followed by reloading skin does not work.

TheMadScientist

If anyone needs any help with setting up the face pack you are very welcome to send me a dm and we'll sort it out

Notejay

faces seem to match when I play 00/01 game by loading from save game. but faces are off when I try to start a new game with 00/01 data base.

TheMadScientist

Do you make sure to select the 24.3.0 FM db when starting a new career?

Notejay

yes I always selected 24.3.0 FM db when I start new career

TheMadScientist

Good. Do you have any other database files ticked besides the 2000/01 db?

Notejay

only those real name fix files

Quick question, does this conflict with the regular season facepack? And if yes, is there a way of loading a specific facepack or will I have to change the contents of the folder each time. FM24

TheMadScientist

Hey. Yes you can only have one face pack in the graphics folder at a time, otherwise they will conflict with each other. There is a way to make the game load from different folders so you won't have to move a face pack out everytime you switch saves. But I don't know exactly how it works but if you ask over at my discord I'm sure someone can help you with it https://discord.gg/4ZcesT6Bp

It's ok, I found how, the thing is creating multiple subfolders in the graphics folder in the format 1. x 2. y etc, but it will take from the other folders if there are missing faces, so I will just create a different folder and will add to the startup command a source folder if possible.
