RRIAUH recently dropped their album "Stepping Stones" and I'm here to give my truthful review about it, as well as highlight an artist that more people should pay attention to, especially if they're familiar with my work already.I'll be reviewing the album in chronological order, starting from the first track , "MODIFY"MODIFY : the intro is a lovely somber melody and is an almost perfect transition into the verse, something that sounds a lot more raw and expressive than we're used to hearing from RRIUAH. This song ends just as quick as it starts and sweeps you into the next song, as this project tends to do a lot. Makes for a very enjoyable and easy listen thru .TIME ALONE: probably one of my favorite songs on here because of that hook, just resonates really well with me and the feeling of walking away from interaction to fix yourself. this song also reminds me of "Hide" by Juice Wrld and the project that song took place on. this song definitely hits my taste buds in the right places.

OMNI...man? : str8 banger. head bopping all song, i love that 8bit melody on the instrumental, the drums providing enough consistency to keep me satisfied while waiting for the next bass hit, really beautiful stuff. theres some barZ i love a lot here , for instance "karate kid but i dont need no jackie chan" or "used to rap on DNB i had to transition". very entertaining and by the time the song finished u wont even realize the hook's played 3 times.

KID TRUNKZ : reminds me of an oldschool sound u dont hear a lot especially from self producers. definitely sounds like a new age d12 instrumental mixed with a bit of carribean influence, its really smooth. not my favorite track on this project but the verses on here keep me interested in replaying it. i see this on while im doing some physical activity (e.g. shadow boxing, working out etc.)

puke.... : W intro , feels triumphant as hell, i do start to recognize the common flows RRIAUH falls into, which is not a bad thing by any means but it gives better context to the earlier tracks. that hook is very nice and that high synth is very catchy. the fact these are self produced really shows a lot of RRIAUHS growth as an artist and a producer. im glad hes putting himself out in these ways.LKH: definitely a vibe reset and much appreciated, at this point in the project we've heard so many abrasive versions of RRIAUH but he peels his ego back for us to get a peek at his insides in this track. "im sorry but my love kills all" is such a powerful statement. we can see RRIAUH is hurt and doesn't believe he can provide what his interest requires, a natural part of life, but a sad part nonetheless. the melodies here are beautiful and light; i feel like i'm flying and crying through the clouds.

Vulnerable: we jump straight into the next track and just like the title says, RRIAUH gets very vulnerable over a gorgeous guitar melody for the first half of the track. these verses are finely written and the feature provides a new flavor to the melodies RRIAUH provides initially making the track feel really copacetic and well placed in the context of the tracklist

LKH2 : i feel like this song is still growing on me. i love the hook and the melodies here, he's coming very pluggnbish and im loving how the beat sounds. i just feel my personal taste has shifted a bit, but i still enjoy letting it play. i can confidently say though that if i'd heard this a couple years ago this would be my favorite song on the project, or atleast one of them. it seems this is the inverse of the original track, RRIAUH seems more apathetic and removed from how people perceive him, the fake things people flaunt having no effect on him. its hard. love the barz here as well.

UP TOP : im usually against "no diddy" in bars because its a bit overused atp, but i have to make an exception here, this is definitely one of my favorite tracks on the album and yes it is because im on it. kidding, mostly. the confidence on this track from RRIUAH is very nice to hear and just the way the production sounds just feels satisfying to blast in headphones. the mix for a lot of these tracks are the best ive heard from RRIAUH but the beats do tend to be a bit more on the quiet side, i only wish this instrumental were injected into my eardrums sometimes. Not much to say here, its just a banger.

BEAT IT IN : fire fire fire fire fire! not better than UP TOP but its very good, my only qualm being how short the song is. the adam and eve bar is definitely a huge part of the reason i replay this song, that verse is just so fire. the adlibs at the end almost sounding like he's about to start harmonizing like thug combined with the low monotone of the main vocal-i just wish we would've got another verse is all im saying.

LuSt : gnarly nasty gooood. that yeah vocal at :14 is sooo satisfying its like you just fell into a wormhole. the song is mixed around these heavy dark kicks just marching you further into a unfamiliar, intriguing place. RRIAUH doesn't miss a beat here, his voice glitches throughout the track like a digital ghost, it really sounds like he's inside the mix, no pause. definitely contender for top 3 on this tape.

Double Digitz! : this that jerk vibe he was hiding this whole time and oh my god will i replay this shit for 40 years. that whining weewooweewoo woooo synth is so satisfying. i noticed RRIAUH likes using beautiful guitars a lot throughout this project and for it to blend with this nasty jersey jeerk neo nonsense is a beautiful sight, he's really come far. the features are FIRE i only wish the first one was mixed with the beat a bit better but its not unbearable. RRIAUH let me master ur next project i gotchu gangsta. this is in the top 3 for my fav track i am NGL.will you pray for me...? : Outro track, immediately gorgeous. sounds like a space vibe and the way the notes careen to either side of the headphones is hypnotizing. the sound reminds me of neo soul artist moonchild. the verse here is beautiful, inspiring and so very human. reminds me of myself as a teenager, trapped and looking for escape. i hope RRIAUH knows that his life will improve with age, and often the hardest part of growing up is a lack of independance. its coming and youll be okay, much love. beautiful beautiful track

all in all this is a phenomenal project, i couldnt have asked for anything better or different and im glad RRIAUH is expanding as an artist and feeding the streets... im still eating off "ZUKO" but now i have so many flavors to enjoy and its gonna be very helpful for this flight i have coming up. RRIAUH be proud of yourself for all the good music you make, all the production, writing , performance, all the things you do when no ones watching is what matters. this counts as a victory towards establishing a future you want for yourself. keep dropping. drop a single every month till u up, all it takes it one. this album is amazing dude. im proud of you.
