Hey guys!

So it has been a little while since I uploaded the Hangeul videos now (both here and on YouTube), and I thought I'd take a little interest check and get some feedback to see whether you guys found the videos helpful.

Let me know down in the poll below if you'd be interested in seeing more Korean language learning content/resources over here, and please share any feedback you may have!

Big love y'all!

I am not the intended audience so I won't vote, but I've enjoyed watching/listening in to see how one would teach someone.

Really funny timing that you started the Korean language content when you did. I just recently started my own Japanese language journey these past weeks. I’m not requesting Japanese lessons, I know you’re busy. I’m doing good on my own so far. My one question is do you think watching those lessons would help or cause confusion. Did you think learning one helped with learning the other? I just thought that because the resource is there, I might as well check it out, only if you think it would be worth doing so.

I am learning Korean from an instructor but your videos help to reinforce the learning and sometimes even offer a fresh perspective because my teacher is an ajumma 🤣

Please continue if you're feeling it I have Korean fairy tales to get through 🤣 and it will be great as I go through rehab for my knee, the pain is...

Ooooh that’s awesome to hear man! One day I think it could be fun to do some Japanese stuff though, so it’s awesome to know that you’re getting into the thick of it yourself! I personally found going from Japanese to Korean to be pretty easy! Korean is much easier to read and write, but pronunciation is a little more difficult because Japanese is a lot more syllabic. Grammar is like 70% transferable though (in my experience) so a lot of things you learn in Japanese make a lot of sense conceptually in Korean as well which makes it easier. Kanji is Japanese’s most difficult aspect but it gives you a ton of vocab, whereas Korean’s lower barrier for entry means you can read write and start speaking confidently (generally across the board) a lot sooner. So coming from Japanese which felt a little more difficult, I felt like Korean was sooooo much easier! But yeah because language is an individual experience that’s just mine, but I’ve heard others have similar experiences learning one before / after the other!
