A Crazy Idea...REQUESTS? (Patreon)

Thanks for all of your awesome feedback these last few days! It has been awesome to see what you've all had to say.

This is something that I've had pop up every now and then, but it makes more sense now to ask this question and put it back out into the universe, but:

Would anyone be interested in requests / request tiers coming back to the Patreon?

For those who don't know, I actually used to do this way back in the day in 2020-2021. I was brand new to Patreon at the time and the community was way different.

I've had a lot of experience with them, and I eventually stopped taking requests because I felt really pressured to like the stuff and react a certain way to requests (I literally had someone say "You didn't react the way I want, so please refund me!" LMAO), so I took them off. It was a pretty toxic first experience.

Bringing them back would be a lot different, and this is my idea:

First, I'd start a small-scale 'trial' tier for the rest of March, maybe 10 spots big, and anyone who gets those slots could recommend up to like 3 MVs / live stages from any artist, an episode of any anime, or an episode of K-Pop variety provided it doesn't exceed ~25 minutes.

We'd see how that goes and then if all goes well, we go into April opening an official request tier with different benefits, member limits, and it would be a bit more dollar wise.

Anything beyond that isn't my problem, and I think most people would be really cool with that.

If the trial went really well, though, I'd expand the slots beyond 10, and we'd broaden the range of what could be requested. So I was thinking something like you could request an episode of a TV show, anime, K-Drama, C-Drama (any series, really) or an episode of K-Pop reality/variety (not exceeding 1 hour), or albums / live stages / mvs in one request (also not exceeding 1 hour).

That would be the kind of idea I'd have!

The main disclaimer and point I'd drive home here is: I would / am NOT obligated to like whatever is requested, and I'll be grateful but honest if something isn't for me.

There's so much more of a variety of stuff that I want to include over here, but I don't know where to start, and things will inevitably fall through the cracks. In theory, I think requests could be a great way to put certain things on my radar and also provide a lot more variety for you guys!

I can take my time getting to things organically for sure, but with my own watchlist pretty "locked in" on longer series', there's just a lot that we miss. This might be a fresh way to add some extra spice. Whether it works out or not, we'd just have to see!
